File modified date problem in makecab.exe 5.1.2600.5512
Mim0 replied to Explorer09's topic in HFSLIP
That's just the way how to compare dirs. For example, I use TC for "compare by content" to be really sure if (sub)folders have the same content. Do you have in mind to implement this to HFSLIP? If yes:I think it should be enough to place a "correct" makecab.exe beside HFSLIP. Makecab is called often from HFSLIP so there are many places to modify. Placing a correct makecab.exe next to HFSLIP to avoid this minor (sorry ;-P ) problem would be the better solution. -
OK, that's what you mean... No, I didn't forgot it as you can see it here. I will update the update-list and the file-checker asap.

new Flash Player: 11.2.202.233 and again: It's not yet added to the file-checker
-
Yes, I know... What's not working? OK, I will add this... Thx!

Yes, the registry entry wasn't set by HFSLIP! Thx for the hint and also to Explorer09 for identifying that Yes, probably SmartCard_XP_x86.exe should also go to HFSVCPACK_SW1! As far as I read not entry was added btu the permissions are modified. After a quick view HFSLIP changed that permission corresponding to 982316. I think about an additional CMD-file which has to be added to modify the permissions.Thxt for these infos!!! Ooooohhh... Yes! Yes, I know. I will add this asap! Yes, sounds good. I check it and make update the list. The update contains a Omfc.dll which I have in my PC w/o an installed Visio. Only an fully installed Office (1. CD). The update contains also a file Omfcu.dll_0001 which I cannot find on my PC. Generally your hint sounds good. Have you tested it?

As I wrote But didn't remember exactly... V21 or V22 - and I just got the message that rootsupd was wrong, not UPHC.But anyway... The thing you found out sounds logical (I didn't checked the script yet). I look for it. Thx for this!
-
I think that this is very mysterious!!! It's not a problen to reset the errorlevel but why didn't I have this wrong message? Why does this script behaviours different on our PCs? Could it be caused by differents OS's? I'm running the FC on Win XP SP3!
-
Thx for the info. I look on the webserver and found an old update-info-file. Yesterday, the ftp-access was very bad. I just use a simple upload-ftp-script - no read-back! I think I have to read the data back after uploading to compare that all is ok! I'm sorry, but I think I need more info. I've done the folloing:- Get my HFSLIP-folder absolutely correct - file-checker says all is OK. - Than I copied an older rootsupd.exe to HF ==> The message from the file-checker is correctly!!! Nothing with UPHC... Where's the difference? Hmmm....

Hi! could you tell me in which version of the file-checker you found that bug? In the current version I checked the code - found nothing. I tested it with a wrong rootsupd.exe - no error (I checked console-output and log-file).
-
Oh yes... you're absolutely right! Thx for this, I will fix it!!!

just a short feedback for you all: I have the modificated HFSLIP ready and also the new CABs. I needed a couple of tests but now I think I have it. I also had a lot of work last days - that's the reason why it tooks so long. I just have to package them for a correct download: the new HFSLIP,the new SWLASH.CAB w/o updater and alsothe new SWFLASH.CAB with updater
-
That's an idea..I think I will offer two CABs... one with updater inside and another w/o the updater. Could anybody give me the English description of the "Adobe Flasher Player Update Service"? You should find in in the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\AdobeFlashPlayerUpdateSvc Thx!
-
Sure... Should be no problem to integrate it in HFSLIP (or probably just in the CAB?)

new file-checker for Wndows XP: 2012-03-22 - Added: KB981073 (FTP clients may not connect correctly to an FTP site that is hosted in IIS 5.0 or IIS 5.1 on a computer that has security update 975254 installed) Download: HFSLIPFC v.2011/11/16 with WindowsXP-update-list v.2012/03/22

Sure, but probably someone won't hotfixes (which are not testet as far as other updates). For that reason the file-checker has the corresponding options in the INI. And for this, I have all three updates (with the hints) on the list.
