1. biatche, thank you for the info! finally someone understands my problem and solved it.
2. Hmm, that doesn't work. When i start the installer with SetupFrontEnd.exe /auto or SetupShim.exe /auto the licence windows is there... The /auto option worked with any older version of Paint .Net, but not with the 3.20 Final
3. Hi everyone, the new version doesn't install completely silent with the /auto switch. I does with older versions. When you install the new version with /auto or /skipconfig you see the licence agreement. This shouldn't come up, regarding to the help you get with the option /? http://www.getpaint.net/ Does anyone have any clue how to get rid of this little problem? greetings FBi
4. your way works, of course. but there's the problem with the knoppix bootscreen. when you boot other tools like e.g. Partition Magic it will flash the Knoppix bootscreen and then boot to Partition Magic. it's only a cosmetic problem, but with my mentioned way it works without this flashing knoppix bootscreen. i've tested it with KNOPPIX_V3.8.1-2005-04-08-DE.iso it's correct that the knoppix folder must not be marked as hidden. cu FBi
5. Have you copied the file "win51iX.SP1" to your AIO-DVD root ?? This could solve the problem. greetings FBi
6. Strangely it works with the old setupldr.bin. The files of the different versions of Windows 2000 and of Windows XP had always the same filesize and i think the same content. The files of Windows 2003 with and without Service Pack 1 differs. Could someone check the different files and update the Windows 2003 section of the AIO DVD Guide? Perhaps the Bootsectors are also different? I have attached the new unedited setupldr.bin of Windows 2003 Enterprise with SP1 FINAL integrated. I have taken it from the german version, but i don't think it matters. greetings FBi setupldr_sp1.rar
7. Hi Folks! I tried "my" way again with the Knoppix Version v3.6 (KNOPPIX_V3.6-2004-08-16-DE.iso) and it works. Just follow these steps: -Copy the folder (cdrom:\boot\)ISOLINUX folder from cd to your harddisk -Rename the isolinux.cfg to syslinux.cfg and DELETE boot.cat & isolinux.bin -Download the attached file and unzip it, start winimage, load/open the file -Put all files from ISOLINUX folder on your harddisk into the image file There should be 12 files in your image: boot.msg, f2, f3, german.kbd, ldlinux.sys, linux24, linux26, logo.16, memtest, minirt24.gz, minirt26.gz, syslinux.cfg -If that's correct SAVE the image You have to put this image in your AIODVD folder. I have a folder called images and put there all my images (also the 4320.img) i need, and i start them via cdshell with the following line
if ($lastKey == key[k]); then bcdw /images/4320.img
If there are any problems, read the above 2-3 times When there are still problems, let me know and i'll try to help you. @Godzilla Ich denke, das ist einfach ausgedrückt. Ich habe grade keinen Bock das zu übersetzen Dieses cdmenu.cmd habe ich noch nicht getestet. cU FBi
8. you mean you have the isolinux.bin etc in root?
9. Hi! i have attached the 4320.img with the ldlinux.sys inside. just rename your isolinux.cfg to syslinux.cfg and add the files of your isolinux dir (except boot.cat and isolinux.bin) with winimage. you have to delete the isolinux folder of course. now the knoppix bootscreen has no change to come up. it works great. @Markymoo what do you mean? you don't use bcdw at all? or you haven't the isolinux folder in root? cu FBi 4320.zip
10. When i put the isolinux in any other folder than /boot or / i get the following error message what do i have to put in there to boot knoppix? the isolinux folder is located in /LINUX/ ------------------------------------------------------------------- I found another guide to boot the latest knoppix. http://www.sadyc.net/anyCDintoUBCD.html The only problem is that the floppyimage is 2,88 mb and the files are about 4 mb. so take his image as seed image in EasyBoot and create a 4320 kbyte image. then copy the file ldlinux.sys from the 2,88mb diskimage in the 4,3mb diskimage, rename the isolinux.cfg to syslinux.cfg and put all files from the isolinux folder (except boot.cat and isolinux.bin) in the 4,3mb diskimage. if ($lastKey == key[k]); then bcdw /images/diskimage.img There's no Knoppix bootscreen anymore when using memdisk or diskemu for other apps I hope this is the final solution for this problem.
11. yes, when i start the .ima files via memdisk i get the knoppix screen. when bcdw is used, there is no knoppix screen. e.g. ghost doesn't work with bcdw, cause the disks are write protected?!?!? "it can't write to disk" was the error message. UBCD uses memdisk also. When I start any program of the UBCD on my AIO DVD, then the knoppix screen appears. that is really bad *G* Tuxer wrote: in what folder exactly have you put it? and how do you start it? if $lastKey == key[4]; then bcdw /images/isolinux/isolinux.bin doesn't work for me
12. Yes, there's another problem. Anything started via memdisk brings the knoppix boot screen if the isolinux folder is in /boot or root the maker of memdisk could make a update to ignore this folder
13. Hi! Thank you. The link doesn't work (forum temp down?). Could you attach it here? Just for info, Ultimate Boot CD Ver 2.3 is released. --------------------------------------------------- The link works now. i got another easy way to implement the ubcd 2.31 just hexedited the loader.bin to /ubcd/boot and edited the cdshell.ini with notepad. i changed all entries from images/ to ubcd/images/ that's enough to boot the disk images. the dosapps folder has to be in root, i think. mcafee and fprot don't work that's one of my problems at the moment. i think the rest of the dosapps won't work also. i haven't tested yet, cause the lack of time. the other "problem" is, bcdw doesn't boot my ghost correctly. it can't write to disk?!? with memdisk it works, but then there's the knoppix crap again.
14. i got it. it works perfect now. i had updated the files from cdshell to the newer version (2.0.15b beta) before. it doesn't works woth bcdw plugin anymore??? now i have the good old cdshell 2.0.11 and now everything works fine if $lastKey == key[3]; then bcdw /isolinux/isolinux.bin if $lastKey == key[4]; then bcdw /images/trueim7.WBT if $lastKey == key[5]; then bcdw /ubcd/boot/loader.bin <---after editing with /ubcd/boot AND moving all images from /ubcd/images/ to /images/ Now the following options are running on my AIO-DVD Windows 2000 Prof SP4 (unattended AND standard setup) Windows XP Prof SP1 Corporate (unattended AND standard setup) Windows 2003 Advanced Server Corporate (unattended AND standard setup) Knoppix 3.4 Ultimate Boot CD v2.21 Norton Ghost 8 Corporate Partition Magic 8 German Acronis Partition Expert 8 German Acronis True Image 8 German office 2003/office xp with sp1-3 and exchange 2003 and some smaller apps are also on the dvd to fill it. Thanks to Markymoo, Webjunkie and of course to flyakite The only problem still left is the bootscreen of knoppix when starting ghost8 or partition magic 8 ------------------------------------------------------------------ Norton Ghost 8 Corporate doesn't boot correctly on 'real computer startup' (in vmware it works!!) and freezes when starting (it doesn't matter if started via bcdw or memdisk (diskemu yet not tested). I have a ASUS A7N8X Deluxe with 2 Seagate PATA HDDs and a NEC 1300 A DVD Burner. No Serial ATA or something activated. I don't think my hardware is such special that Ghost could have problems. The next "problem" is the bootscreen of knoppix. everything started via memdisk (i think diskemu too) has this problem. but only if there is bcdw used anywhere in the cdshell.ini can someone acknowledge?
15. Yeah, that would be a possibility. But every time a new version of ubcd is released, you have to check that all links are correct. Is there a easier way to integrate the ubcd to the AIO dvd using cdshell (and bcdw plugin)?
