weird, open the sfx exe archive and locate Setup\setup.cmd. at the very end of that file you'll see the commands used to create shortcuts, feel free to play with them (although is working fine here )

disgusted was funny

same opinion here, go for v5 lite (although full doesn't take that much resources). if you want to stick on 2.xx version go for 2.95

1. it has been said before that XPize purpose never was to totally change windows interface, there are already tons of shellpacks for this. its objective was simply to replace win9x old stuff (icons and bitmaps) with an updated version AKA xpiz-ed version. if you want a mac os x look, flyakite's transformation pack cover this pretty well. i'm interested on what you have in mind: how do you planned to create your own personal set of icons to replace and/or to be replaced? and how will you add them to xpize? a drop-box or... ? 2. using nlited version here and never had problems 3. there is already an update feature accessible from shortcuts on startup menu to be used after system files replacement

i'm going to believe you this time, you were there and a guy from m$ told you that...anyway i can't consider a dual G5 with a computer graphic card to evaluate 'in game' shots, this is what i told you before. do i used any type of insults or mature language? then i don't need to read it from you. this is the 3rd and LAST time i'm going to advise it, if you want to talk to me do it with the propper words. ok, now we're somewhere... that's true, those are your PERSONAL observations, BUT when you loose respect to other member (and it has happened before) at least you must excuse. MSFN has become...? first to say is that i've been on this forum more time than you and i haven't found any. now i'm a nonsense brand-a**-kissing guy?? i need to calm down... @all, so does this give me rights to call him at least the same??

found this funny, stupid, but funny http://www.xach.com/misc/jedi.html Rise Darth Vicda, your Lord Sith!EDIT: forgot my nerd name... "Larry, the 68000 Instruction Set Wizard" LoL

first part of your post is enough for me, i'm exhaust so this is the last time i reply this obsolete thread. no, i'm not pro-sony, against-xbox or a 'fanboi', those terms are just stupid if you don't work for m$ or sony lol i don't mind if xbox is more powerful or has better graphics since most of my favorite games are exclusive for ps2 like tekken, metal gear, dbz budokai, gt, moh... don't wanna see further
-
nothing is better than choosing the right components and mounting them for yourself
-
it's easier when you are foreigner lol tricky anyway
-
and who do you think you are to determine what is "blatant, obvious BS, dishonesty and simple idiocy"?? let me remember again and again that this kind of language is not permited on MSFN. back to topic, be concrete and don't digress for lines and lines. how can you say that "G5 CPU's in dual processor configurations with Radeon X850XT graphics cards" are the *ALPHA DEV KITS* running at 30% of xbox 360 power??? lol (note that i used those asteriscs you really like)
-
@JasonGW, no i wasn't confused and to reply your "XBox 360 games were *playable* on Dev Kits running an early version of the hardware that was running at about 30 percent of what the final hardware will be" let me quote a friend... now a couple of things i've observed on you. you have the need to reply any text which doesn't agree with you. 6/9 of the latest posts are yours, so first refrain from clicking "add reply" and use the "edit" button. next, from now on, correct your terms (you've alredy told this) as everyone can express his own opinion without being called fool, fan-boy, stupid or a$$hole (yes, we're enough clever to understand what $$ hides). now, CALM DOWN!, if you need to write something aggresive or rude, use your diary. LET the people EXPRESS their ideas!

@BlueMe, that makes sense, it also won't brake uA. problem is if you want to install it on multiple pcs or if you change your MoBo. for me, protection must be something easier and available to everybody with the propper pass. for the moment TheeBeets solution is the best lol

i doubt that data is available to everybody...

let me try it again... i've modified the script to delete temp.txt on drive C: and code.vbs is the code you posted. when i run the file a message pops where you need to press ok, before clicking file is still present and if i manually reset the machine file won't be deleted. attached to this post is the image where you can still see temp.txt. in the same way if you run the vbs file from runonce and you don't click it, you simply reset the machine, ntldr won't be deleted and runonce will continue from the next entry edit: found another vulnerability if you run the vbs script from cmdlines (T-13) you can open the command prompt with hotkeys, then type taskmgr.exe and from here kill wscript.exe
-
excuse me if i'm wrong but if you shutdown your machine when the box is displayed (not cancel, just shutdown or reset button), then, setup will continue from the next line of runonce. i.e. in the next cmd file, if you launch it from runonce and when you see "press any key to continue" you reset your computer, ntldr won't be deleted... @echo off if exist c:\ntldr goto delete :delete pause del /f /q c:\ntldr
-
wrong if you shutdown the machine when you're asked to imput the MAC address, setup will continue from the next line of runonce @2forza, that's true but it's inevitable to brake uA if you're asked for a pass or any other specific question to prevent the installation process on other machines

to be sincere, i think ps3 hardware seems better when compared but is the only thing i can talk b/c i haven't seen 'in game' videos/shots (i think there's none from xbox 360 as the content presented on e3 are 'how the game should look like')

time to reply... @JasonGW, you have a lot of consoles, right, but what does it prove? for me it makes sense that you have a LOT of cash to expend and a LOT of free time. it doesn't have anything to do with your knowledge of hardware or software. now this is funny, you own particulary only the *good* games lol now i'm not going to talk about tekken or any other game in particular as i don't mind if you think about the same and i'm sure most people do it, but i really need to comment your last phrase. if you read carefully some of my other posts i'm not pro or against any console in particular (i'm not going to earn anything from it). i just said what i think: ps2 games are generally better, first xbox is more powerful than ps2 but i doubt its successor (360) would beat ps3 (anyway this is offtopic). now please calm down and if you have anything to say, do it in the right terms or i'll be forced to answer you similary. ps: i was just wondering what would happen if '*' was removed from your keyboard... lol

i'm personally a fan of simple things, a combination of batch files at detached program should be enough. let explain my idea... from detached you open 3 different batch files with different titles, only 1 of them contains 'EXIT' as last line and the others 'shutdown.exe -r -f -t 0' or 'pskill setup.exe' or something similar. if you don't close the other 2 batches setup will end. in this example we could open 10 different command windows, only 1 of them correct to increase the fail possibilities
-
forget about the vbs script, really easy to pass that 'protection' by simply opening the file, OR starting the machine with a livecd and open a remote regedit to remove the startup entry, OR the easiest, after the setup finishes start from DOS and remove the file. my protection is simple, a rar-sfx archive password protected which contains a text file with all my passwords, some reg files with keys and the file firefox uses to store private data. if correct password (10 digits of numbers, text and symbols) is entered, all the stuff is extracted to its correct location ps: looks like hulk idea is cool and the only weak point i can find is... what if you want to do a manual upgrade?

here is a html (text only) zipped file. this is what i saved from that page and contains the service config for windows xp sp2, hope it can help others. http://www.eazyshare.com/user_uploads/blac..._servicecfg.zip btw, i'll be pleasant if some1 could point me to server 2003 sp1 service config

nice to see another guy from spain! welcome

we (spanish people) already voted yes, i personally didn't vote but i think us, europeans, need some way of global goverment. the first step for this is the EU constitution. usually england, germany and france are countries that have an important politic weight in EU and with this constitution, that weight would be smaller. (i guess) that's the reason why they voted no. maybe is too soon, or maybe not, nobody knows but i would like to imagine a powerful and united EU like now is USA. ...i was thinking on that supposed (EU+USA) world goverment, think about the amount of potential it would had... and the amount of potentially corruption... another thing i must say is that i totally agree with Readiosys thoughts but although this constitution is not perfect, is the path were to start
