at the time of installation it's probably the same, from unattended guide: at the time of testing, you can't use guirunonce but you can use runonceex -

if it's not clear what i wanted to mean: runonceex it's just a process that starts until logon so to test the apps installation you can just import your runonceex to the current OS, and on next reboot apps will reinstall. that's what i use to test switches for new app and so on. ps: sorry know i see i'm getting offtopic -
please guys, just a note: don't post here your mails. PM who is giving invitations and when you register the account post here that you've received it sucesfully. ...depleted and reloaded, again having 4...

that's what i wanted to mean with "i know that the JVM was removed from SP1 and because of that there was a SP1a", sorry if it wasn't clear. back to the topic, i'm 60% sure that JVM it's included together with SP2.

you can just avoid it by building the iso and manually import the runonceex.cmd file. at least that's what i use when i add a new app -
sorry i missed to explain that thing when you power on, you'll be prompt which of the 2 drives (that contains different OSs) want to boot. if after 30sec (by default) you don't select 1 you'll start with (last installed) xp. about how to delete and if you can delete your data: as i said in the "small tutorial" ( ) you can resize your partition so you can simply convert your new partition into unallocated space and the resize it to a new bigger one. it will not erase your initial data but becareful and make a backup until start

most sites use a language to display the main web and "do" more things as @laurens said Java it's like a "web codec", so it's needed if you are an inet-man. i really preffer sun java so i remove the m$ one and install Sun's during my unattended installation. i know that the JVM was removed from SP1 and because of that there was a SP1a, but i think in SP2 it's included too (not sure about this, please correct me if necessary).

well a short tutorial: search for a partition utility, most of us use partition magic but there are other non-comercial alternatives that will do the job. most of them have a similar menu where you can see your partitions like bars and a nice menu. search for an option like "resize partition". you'll be prompt the size etc, so 5gb will be enough, remember be sure to backup your data until the resize. after that you can burn a cdrw with your xp sp2 installation, when installation starts, it will ask you to select a partition so select the new created non-allocated space and format it with fat32 or ntfs as you like. let the installation finish and test your changes (you can always select in the boot menu return to your old OS). hope it helps

i've got a similar problem and i guessed you've got a similar hardware, but that's not the key i can't only help u with typical tips like rebuild the iso image, and because vmware it's just a "pc emulator" try to install it in your current pc with real hardware (u can do a new partition and install it there). if that not work try to update your drivers, sorry can't help u more

i found the solution myself, after many (i mean a lot) unattended installations adding and removing things. problem came with tcpip.sys fix from nlite (after the change to -1) to have unlimited connections. sorry guys i've read a lot about that file but i couldn't believe how you offline can't open the firefox browser -
i feel very proud that some1 from US have heard about a festival from Spain. i see images every year on TV about that fest i have to go some year (it's about 300/400km from my city). probably must of you guys don'k know much about "La Tomatina" and i always have thought that an image it's better than 1000 words... nice story dude @the_n00b what are u talking guy, it's just a story if you don't like it simply don't read it. i find it funny so for me it's in the correct subsection.

i can only reply about this, i've got this lines on my winnt.sif [Components] accessopt=off ; autoupdate=off calc=off fax=off msmsgs=off msnexplr=off moviemk=off ; freecell=off ; hearts=off ; minesweeper=off ; pinball=off ; solitaire=off ; spider=off zonegames=off hypertrm=off chat=off dialer=off mplay=Off ; wmaccess=Off ; wmpocm=Off removing those items with nlite (i think) doesn't give me a problem during installation.
