  1. X86 is something to do with what proccessor type/operating system architecture type you have. X86 is for a windows system: X86 ( for Windows 98/ME/NT/2000 ) XP32 ( for Windows XP 32-bit ) XP64 ( for Windows XP 64-bit ) it sounds like something to do with ASPI, have you installed a CD burner lately? whats in the folders? if theres "nothing" click on Folder Options and tick "show hidden files" anything there then?
  2. its a fake, matt drudge took the report off the front of his page, duh!
  3. paranoia! suits me, the servers are overloaded as it is hehe
  4. never heard of that happening before! you tried uninstalling kazaa? no virus on the pc? kazaa will be dead soon anyway you tried overnet and blubster.net yet? blubster is very fast for mp3, and overnet has a lot of recent stuff on it, sharing whatever file type. welcome to the board gamehead
  5. good luck not closing programs doesent usually cause errors.. but sometimes it just does, usually when its something very vital, like sp1 heh. hope it works l.i.p
  6. what.. i didnt know you lived in afganistan piaqt rofl
  7. has anyone been able to verify that this film has been leaked out? all sounds like fakery to me.
  8. The site most of us cant do without has been censored in China. As many of you will know many websites are filtered out in China preventing people from visiting sites that may "corrupt" China's people. Many illegal internet cafes across the country allow surfers to use the internet unrestricted to what sites they can visit. Earlier in the yeah the Chinese Government allowed the people of China to read the news on CNN, albeit with some stories blocked. Now, for some crazy reason Google is banned, possibly because it is too popular, no other reason than that! crazy huh?
  9. just wondering what everyone think of thier service from their ISP? what speed do you have (both ways) and how much does it cost you a month? mines 1024/256 and £35 a month (about $65) Unrestricted regards bandwidth and hours using it. 24 hours a day seven days a week downloading http://www.blueyonder.co.uk customer service sometimes are a bit stupid, but that was about a year ago, ive only had to ever ring them 4 times and that was for problems at their end. calls to customer service are free on my line speed but premium rate for the slower package, funny how you would have to pay to tell them about THEIR screw ups lol.
  10. This is bugging me as much as it is you i expect, i hate not figuring stuff out. my only other two ideas short of flying over and having a look are: motherboard is damaged have you checked all the jumpers on the board? (i expect you have your not daft, but i have to ask...) other than that zipp im stuck
  11. dolls, sorry you will have to remove and add it again to make sure theres no error in "manually" removing it. id recomend everyone use the acrhive option as a few people seem to have had errors on reboot. when you reboot for the first time it DOES reboot very slowly as it updates the system, bit like when you start any operating system for the first time. lost in space, can you take the patch out by add remove? Also have you checked your serial is not blacklisted? check here
  12. is the CD drive enabled as first boot device in your BIOS? also, you dont need to get to the boot screen, just slightly after the BIOS screens and XP will go to the "safe mode options" window if you hold down F8. if you still cant get your Cd to boot i suggest going to the Microsoft site and downloading the boot floppies and using them.
  13. Welcome to the board Nartac + fgray
  14. hi, welcome to the board. Try this before you format and destroy all your data. put your windows XP cd in the drive and boot the pc, hold F8 while the pc boots and go into the repair console. type in sfc /scannow then follow the on screen dialogue from there, reboot when done it should boot up at least and give you chance to get your data backed up (if you need to, it may fix it perfectly) hope this helps. by the way, did you select the option to be able to uninstall SP1 when you installed it? hope so, remove it in add remove and try again, or try another SP1 file, the file should be 133 MB (140,440,152 bytes) in size in its exe format, and file version 1.16.121.0 also did you check Here ?
