  10. i dont quite understand what you mean so im going to post a step by step guide 1. Put in vista disk or mount iso 2. open vlite and browse to the disk drive 3. it will ask where you want to copy the installation files 4. click next and select what you want to do (select create iso as well) 5. click apply when finished and will ask you what you want to do (rebuild one version which will only have 1 version e.g. ultimate, rebuild all which will apply the changes to all of the versions e.g. home basic/premium/ultimate or save changes which will keep the files and create a file where it will tell the installation what files to copy and what not to copy) 6. when it says its finished click next and make the iso which you will be using to burn to disk (use software which will burn the contents inside the iso) 7. reboot the computer and start installation like you would if it was a normal disk of vista
  11. 1. if its a driver thats on the original dvd then it should be on windows update and no it wont effect anything 2. yes you can remove imapi because nero uses third party components, I think only microsoft based burning software uses it e.g. wmp
  12. lol I didnt keep it lol I just borrow it so I can reformat my hard drive because it was bloated by what the OEMS put on there
  13. I didnt say I downloaded it lol so will anyone help provide a list
  14. can someone provide a list of components vlite can remove because I havent got a full ISO of vista, just one which someone else has done I might try and make a list of what components can be removed without any trouble

  16. hey nuhi great work Some Requests 1.remove windows anytime upgrade which is under system32 and the start menu shortcuts to windows marketplace and windows website 2.remove all those cursors except the aero cursor 3.remove unneeded fonts 4.let the user change the minimum ram needed to continue setup or disable the check 5.add more services under components because there is some which are under tweaks which isnt under components You dont have to put all these in the next version because im grateful that someone has made this possible Thanks again on a great piece of software and keep up the good work
  17. ive removed SNMP, display adaptors except the one for my graphics card and computer browser and going to keep the games explorer and paint What services do you think will increase stability and most likely wont be needed for a home user (using home basic because its smaller compared to the other versions) EDIT: Removed storage management and installed it and using around 300mb out of 512mb lol its pretty obvious that no one wants to help so will stop changing this comment
  18. come on guys please help me out im a total noob when it comes to vlite
  19. Hey guys ive been using vlite and have got to a stage where im not sure what else to remove What im interested is creating a lite vista but is very functional heres is a image of what i got left (dont want to remove hardware support so removed it from the image)
  20. I have found a bug When I try to remove all the languages, when it gets to the removing compounents part, it just skips and when I open nlite to double check and they are still there *PS it is the western europe and US part, others remove fine another one- I nlited an addon of aero mouse cursors and when I install xp they are not set by default when before they were Found another one I nlited my xp sp3 again with all the same settings and stuff removed but now I dont seem to have a internet connection (just stays on aquiring IP) tested it before on a different version and it worked Just in case can someone look over my removed components to see if that would make any problems (I left hardware support alone so theres no point in showing it)
