  1. no it installs perfectly fine if i try to install it after winxp is installed. the cd however does install fine in winxp x64 perfectly fine. There are files in the cd that have 64 in the filename like office64mui but ive never had a problem installing this cd alone after winxp 32 was installed. Its just when I try to inteegrate it into my cd it works fine on my fully automated x64 winxp but i get an error on my fully automated x32 cd
  2. Hello i have a quick question Im pretty sure im in the right forum for this I have an automated office 2007 cd (basically i press setup and it just installs everything i dont have to touch anything for it to install) I am able to install this automatically in my winxp x64 cd it installs fine with no problems (this particular cd was made entirely with Nlite) now I am trying to do the same thing with my WinXP X32 cd (this one was made with HFslip) and when it gets to the part where I want to install office I get an error on office the error just says Office encountered an error during installation and i have to press OK I did exactly the same thing I did for my WINXP X64 Cd and it does not work I have a folder in my source folder called AddOns and I have this command line in an install.bat rem Office 2007 %Source%AddOns\Office\setup.exe this line works in the winxp x64 version but does not in the winxp 32 version. The only difference I see is that I created the cd with hfslip and not with nlite. The version I created with Nlite I put in runonce %source%install.bat the version i created with hfslip I also ran nlite and wrote %source%install.bat it will run the install.bat but it does not install office it fails. Anyone have any ideas?
  3. Where can I get the individual KB articles for Ms Office 2007? I want to slipstream with all the latest updates but every update I google I get no download links to the articles... Anyone?

  6. Ok so far this is where I have gotten I am able to install WinXP X64 and integrate all updates except Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x64 - February 2009 (KB890830) <--when I use it as a hotfix in Nlite it tells me this cannot be used as a hotfix it needs to be installed manually Windows Search 4.0 for Windows XP x64 Edition (KB 940157) <--when I use it as a hotfix in Nlite it tells me this cannot be used as a hotfix it needs to be installed manually and finally Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and .NET Family Update (KB951847) x64 <--now this one I downloaded .NET Framework Addon ENU-x64_v1.4 from http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6419 when I put the 7z in the hotfix part of nlite it starts to unzip however it fails and tells me that it is looking for MSI files it cannot find. The actual error is Windows cannot find "netfx35sp1x64\netfx30a_x64.msi." make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search upon further inspection i noticed that this file is in the netfx30sp2x64 folder. The actual install.bat file reads @ECHO OFF FOR /F "TOKENS=3" %%I IN ('REG QUERY HKLM\SYSTEM\Setup /v SystemSetupInProgress') DO SET SSIP=%%I IF "%SSIP%"=="0x1" ( REG DELETE HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\PCHealth\ErrorReporting\DW /f REG ADD HKLM\SYSTEM\Setup /v SystemSetupInProgress /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f ) START /WAIT netfx20sp2x64\NetFx20a_x64.msi /qn ADDEPLOY=1 START /WAIT msxml6\msxml6.msi /qn START /WAIT netfx30sp2x64\RGB9RAST_x64\RGB9RAST_x64.msi /quiet /nobackup START /WAIT netfx30sp2x64\WIC\update\update.exe /quiet /nobackup START /WAIT netfx30sp2x64\XPSEPSC\update\update.exe /quiet /nobackup START /WAIT netfx30sp2x64\NetFx30a_x64.msi /qn ADDEPLOY=1 START /WAIT netfx35sp1x64\NetFx30a_x64.msi /qn ADDEPLOY=1 IF "%SSIP%"=="0x1" ( REG ADD HKLM\SYSTEM\Setup /v SystemSetupInProgress /t REG_DWORD /d 1 /f ) EXIT START /WAIT netfx35sp1x64\NetFx30a_x64.msi /qn ADDEPLOY=1 <---seems to be the problem i think? The date however on the post is Last edited by HJW on Sun Sep 14, 2008 9:28 am and the release date for this particular KB article is 1/27/2009 can someone guide me or point me in the right direction? thanks! Anthony

  11. Does this program work with WinXP X64? If it does not are there any programs that allow for an automated install of the 64bit version?

  13. I am assuming you use the same programs on the C and the E to try and connect VPN? Did you try just reinstalling whatever program you are using on the C to see maybe if that fixes your problem? As far as looking for orphaned registry files that might be causing you problems I'm not sure how to go about doing that but generally if you would reinstall the program you use to connect vpn and reinstall it it normally deletes all the reg files and will rewrite them when you do your install. Does the VPN use a particular port that you might have blocked in your firewall? Do you have windows firewall that is enabled and you did not add that port as an exception? (I know that these scenarios are unlikely because you can connect via the E drive but there has to be something that is blocking you from reaching the host) Did you assign a static IP on the tcp ip settings of the c drive? I know where I work anything I want to do when it concerns VPN///VNC cannot be done via wireless because it is blocked by my router. Try reinstalling the programs you use to connect via VPN and try on a wired connection just for the heck of it
  14. nevermind im retarded ddr=double data rate sdr=single data rate sometimes when you work too much you forget to think
  15. do u have 2 video cards on the machine is one onboard is one pci if yes then try plugging to the other videocard if that still doesnt work take out the pci card and reset the bios and plug ur monitor into the onboard videocard (you probably arent recieving any video because ur monitor isnt plugged into the right video card) otherwise if it powers up but does not beep or anything it can be 1 of 3 possible failures 1)your cpu is dead 2)your motherboard is dead 3)there is short somewhere on your motherboard which means u might have to take the mobo out of the case and resit it back in or try powering it up outside of the case to see. If it powers up outside of the case there is a short in your case) On a side note 10ghz? wtf moores law says the fastest a processor can go is about 4.x ghz on a single core..
  16. Hello I have a question I have a HP XW 8200 machine this machine can hold up to 16gb of memory For some reason or other I can only get the first 2 slots of memory to work anything I put in the 3rd slot I get a memory error problem. Now I have 2 questions As I am 99.9% sure that the 3rd slot is defective (because if I skip the third slot and put memory in the fourth i get no memory error beep but the machine does not detect the memory i put it in) (also if i put the original 2 gb ((4 sticks of 512mb)) in the machine it only detects 1gb total so i am assuming that the 3rd memory slot is broken) What is the difference between Double rate and single rate memory I have 2x 4gb kingston ram 2x 2gb (one kingston and one Smart) and 2x 1gb samsung ram is it possible that these rams are not compatible with each other in this machine.
  17. The log files suggest that the you are able to see the host but it seems that nothing is configured on the host side. It looks like theres no way of your client machine to authenticate to the host thats what the log is suggesting. From what I can understand about it
  18. On some cards theres a function called shut down to save power or something like that in the card properties (it is very unlikely that is the problem) but try unchecking that if it is checked off. Also (shot in the dark here) but are your IP's manually assigned in the tcp/ip settings?
  19. Judging by the way the question was formulated I THINK that most of the answers given in this thread were probably a little advanced for him. I think he is probably looking for a very simple answer the answer rv31 would be the MODEM (given to you by whoever you pay your internet bill too) and a router (a linksys wireless router will do ((assuming you have a laptop or 2 and want to have wireless internet also)) otherwise a normal regular router will do) I think that would be the most simple and direct answer he could have edit i didnt read your last post so my post might sound like im making you out to know nothing sorry i really didnt read your last post
