  1. @cdob IT WORKED!!! i opened my iso with magiciso and hit properties and "checked" rock ridge file system and hit "save"... it woks great now... thank you... anyways, just to let you know i've added backtrack, gparted on it too and its was very simple... 1) i extracted the linux boot image using isobuster (eg: knop.img) 2) i made dummy file system to root of the dvd 3) then i boot it up like this... thanx again... i didn't realise it was this simple. heres a screenshot of magiciso properties... hope it helps other lurkers...
  2. hey cdob im unfamiliar with those terms... can you plz tell me how? it would really help...
  3. did exactly what it says here and get this error... check screenshot
  4. did you prepare your livexp cd with UBCD4WIN... i had experienced this problem/error myself... it goes away when you delete the "BOOTFIX.BIN" file from the i386 folder...
  5. @cdob 1) i copied the "KNOPPIX" folder from my knoppix live cd... it has the knoppix file system in it... 700mb something single file plus some image files among other things and put it in root of my multi-boot iso... 2) heres what i use in cdshell.ini 3) boot the iso via vmware and i select 2 key to boot for knoppix and it does... boot goes well and it tries to find the hardware for the 700mb knoppix file system but it couldn't and drops me right there instead. ======================= i'm curious to know if this is a vmware error??? cause in the knoppix readme file, it says in order to create a knoppix bootable cd all you need is the "boot.img" file located in the "KNOPPIX" folder... so when i dump the whole knoppix contents into a cd and burn that cd using the bootable option in nero and load the "boot.img" file then it should work right ok... why doesn't this work with multi-boot dvd or is this a vmware error...??? find attached : knoppix error screenshot
  6. i loaded the original iso made by ubcd4win in vmware and it works fine... i extracted files from this iso and injected it into my multi boot dvd iso via magic iso... but it doesn't work all ok cause i get the above error... no media... no writing error... i boot from an iso via vmware originally i used cdimage.exe to make the iso and heres the command i used in the batch file... thats the only time i used cdimage.exe... i prefer injecting files via isoimage and as far as i know it works like a charm... booting is never affected when i inject files with it... 2.68gb but it don't think it matters since its a multi-boot dvd check screenshot attachment
  7. try using diskemu instead of bcdw to load iso's but it rarely works with live cds since after it boots it looks for files in its root folder and fails and live cd like knoppix is another head case.
  8. i made a os with ubcd4win with my windows xp sp2 disc and when i load the iso that was made by ubcd4win it works fine but when i try to load it from my multi boot dvd that i made then i get a error that says "x:\XPPE\system32\profiles.exe not found" i checked if its missing but its there... i attached a screen shot of it...
  9. need help with v4.11 since all its menus are written in *.cfg files while this tutorial has *.scn files... i tried using script to load *.cfg files but it doesn't work and the flyakite ubcd tutorial has some flaws... plz help...

  12. ok anyways, heres the progress... i made a dvd which can boot 98, me, 2003, xp2 together successfully... the problem is with ubcd... can i get a solution for this like i stated in the above post...??? im going to try putting backtrack and gparted in this dvd cause so far its just 2.5gb something...
  13. hello, i was in the process of making a bootable dvd from this page http://flyakite.msfn.org/ but ran into some problems which i'll state below and could use some solutions or explanations... what to do with findcd.exe after editing??? what to do with findcd.exe after editing??? theres a "boot" folder in the "AIO-DVD" and another "boot" folder in "AIO-DVD\SETUP\UBCD"... which folder do you mean??? i tried replacing /CDSH with /UBCD with the hex editor but it didn't find any to replace... what am i doing wrong??? i dont understand what to write in the cdshell.ini file...
