I searched for a driver for a microsoft virtual wifi adapter, but could not find

    ID :  {5d624f94-8850-40c3-a3fa-a4fd2080baf3}\vwifimp

    and

    Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N 135

    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0893&REV_C4
    PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0893
    PCI\VEN_8086&CC_028000
    PCI\VEN_8086&CC_0280
    PCI\VEN_8086
    PCI\CC_028000
    PCI\CC_0280

I think  Intel Centrino requires WiFi Application.

But Windows 2000 is  not supported native WiFi apps.

So, I think , Windows 2000 user not  should choose Intel WiFi card.

My duelview thread merged into this one

It is not working! This isn't even something I'm new at because I've been using dual monitors since the turn of the decade. However, with my new machine, no matter how much I play around with it, I cannot get dualview working.

So, my old card was a NVidia GeForce 8600GT dual DVI output, my new card is a NVidia GeForce 9800GT with dual DVI output as well. Whether it makes a difference or not, it's the energy efficient version so it doesn't require extra power to run. Now here's where things get very interesting. I can clone my desktop so both monitors show the same thing, I can also do horizontal/vertical view which doubles the resolution. But I cannot get dualview to have two independent monitors working. The video card recognizes two monitors are there, it knows that for a fact. But when I go to the display properties, even though it says multiple monitors, it only shows the one and extend my desktop is grayed out.

The things I've tried were basically changing driver versions which I've used both Tomasz86's 270.61 driver, no luck. I've tried a few of Blackwingcat's drivers, no luck either. I've even tried removing all the drivers via safe mode and removing the device all together and even running my registry cleaner to remove old entries, makes no difference. The only thing I can think of that might be fouled is the NVidia GeForce 8400GS that I originally had in there, it had DVI/VGA and HDMI, and apparently you cannot dualview a digital and analog connection, it's either one or the other. The other resources I looked for online on this issue is about as helpful as going out in the rain and covering your head with a spaghetti strainer. No real insight is offered. But with Dual DVI, I'm sure dualview should work. Am I to the point I might just have to reinstall Windows or what? I'm pulling my hair out because I've never had this much trouble getting it going before. Usually all I'd have to do is go through the control panel, enable dualview, restart at the prompt, and when Windows returned it would install the Dualview driver (which this doesn't), restart again, and then I could extend my desktop. So why this isn't happen with this, I have no clue. Now I'm turning to the ones who know even more than I do.

I tried to use the Dual Display with Display Link 5.1 driver and Extended Core v 1.6.

It seems to work fine ... : (

Ummm ... Is there any more informations ?

    Yes, I am administrator.
I have tried with several computers on Windows 2000 and Windows XP in Spanish. On Windows 2000 with administrator and on Windows XP with personal user account with administrator permissions.

Did you solve the problem "Entry point not found swprintf_s on msvcrt.dll" ?

It seems to require Extended kernel [Vista version msvcrt ].

the WLU update can work  WHS 5.7.

If you want to uninstall WHS

    - run cmd.exe

    - cd to system32

    - ternminate explorer.exe with task manager

    - del the following files

    cscript.exe

    wscrupt.exe

    dispex.dll
    jscript.dll
    scrobj.dll
    scrrun.dll
    vbscript.dll
    wshcon.dll
    wshext.dll

A message comes out, a message pops up asking for the user.
But then nothing happens. I have tried on w2000 and XP with the same result.

So I have manually installed on both systems Windows Scripts Host 5.8 for Windows 2000-XP (english) (2020-05) WindowsLU-Script58-v6-x86-int.wlu and now on both systems I have 2 errors when trying to execute files with .WLU extension
"Script engine not found on wlupdate.vbe"
    VBScript.Encode.jpg.f22622b2c98992053e1cd0f73fb39a39.jpg

Entry point not found swprintf_s on msvcrt.dll

    1712590687_WScript.exeswprintf_S.jpg.74cb043dc4292b0a7f4c77a9ab13930a.jpg

I don't know if this error is possible because Windows Scripts Host 5.8 is in English and my system is in Spanish.

    Can this have other consequences?
Is it possible to reverse the process of installing Windows Scripts Host 5.8?

On XP I have uninstalled Windows Scrip Host 5.8 in "add or remove programs" and the problem has been solved.

On Windows 2000 I have reset the registry, installed Windows Scripts Host 5.7, reinstalled SP4 & UR1v.2, reinstalled IE6SP1 but the error still appears.

On windows 2000 I can`t uninstall WHS because the programs list in "add or remove programs"
has stopped loading. The list is empty and blank. Nothing appears. Neither WHS nor any other program.

How can I manually uninstall WSH on w2000?

or how can I retrieve programs list in add or remove programs?

    Edit:

I have uninstalled Windows Scrip Host on Windows 2000
    https://support.microsoft.com/es-es/help/247515/program-is-not-listed-in-add-remove-programs-after-installation

    Regedit
    Go to:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Uninstall
And find the program to uninstall
The path to uninstall is in Uninstallstring

Path to Uninstall Windows Script Host
    C: \ WINNT \ $ NtUninstallscripten $ \ spuninst \ spuninst.exe

But although I have uninstalled it, the same error messages continue on Windows 2000 when trying to execute .WLU with wlupdate.vbe and the programs list in "add or remove programs" continues without being visible.
I installed IE 6.0 SP1 full version and now the error messages no longer appear and "add or remove programs" works again
It seems that "add or remove programs" depends on Windows Script Host.
.WLU drag & drop with "wlupdate.vbe" returns as before. This asks for a user and then nothing else happens.

    Hi.

    WLUpdate requires administrator.

    Is your account user ?

Unfortunately that correction didn't yield any positive results on my end. I realized I was using an outdated version of the drivers from BWC and got a much more recent release (Intel Rapid Storage Manager 8.9g for Windows 2000 + Extended Core(Intel 300 Series 蟇セ蠢 - also attached). Compiling the cab file's contents as a disk image yields an "iastor.sys is corrupted error" and there is still no mention of DEV_3B2E but there are pre-existing entries for the 5/3400 series; it's no golden bullet but I think it's a much better point to search for a solution from.

Hopefully when I work out why I'm getting the corrupted .sys file error, I might have a bit less of a time working all this out...

I think PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_XXXE means it works on IDE mode. :3

    @Dylan Cruz

Even with NNN4NT5 you were unable to run to successfully run the installer? They are packaged as MSIs, they can also be edited with Orca by dropping the "LaunchCondition" table.

If we execute msiexec.exe with XP Compatible mode option, it may require "Windows2000-KB971913-v3a-x86-INTL.exe"

official Windows Installer v3.1 sometimes stops on XP Compatible mode.

When installing a version of the previous driver that did not require this, it worked correctly.
But if I install the newest version that works on Ivy Bridge and Sandy Bride (requires extended core), it simply doesn't work on Windows 2000 even with the extended Core on v10 and v16d versions and none were successful, but on XP they worked.

Then check that the problem came from hal.dll which was missing some instructions, as if it were that hal.dll on system32 when installing the extended core was not updated, but when doing it with the hal.dll of the extracted folder of the extended core there are no problems, does anyone know why this fault is due?

Another thing that happens to me is that when replacing the old hal.dll with the extended core (of course with the extended core installed), Windows 2000 does not start and restarts indefinitely.

You need to learn how to work HAL.DLL in Windows NT 5.x.

When HAL is installed , it will be renamed to hal.dll the following.

    ACPI MPU = Halmacpi.dll
    ACPI UPU = Halaacpi.dll
    ACPI PC = Halacpi.dll
    MPS MPS PC = Halmps.dll
    MPS UPS PC = Halapic.dll
    standard PC = Hal.dll

you can find original filename from hal.dll in file property.

Were you actually able to run the unpacker under win2k? I couldn't and had to do it in XP.

But yes, this version cuts out most if not all of the Chinese telemetry, as confirmed by kerio not bombarding me with connection requests.

I still can't get uBlock Origin to install though (in win2k). But uMatrix does work better than it did about seven months ago.

Unfortunately youtube doesn't work very well, as it shows me nothing but blank video thumbnails, which appears to be the fault of uMatrix. If only google ads didn't have crypto mining routines and redirects galore...

SetThreadDescription and DiscardVirtualMemory are key missing APIs in kernel32.dll.

I have not tried to run unpacker on Windows 2000 yet.

I extract it on Windows 10 and create translated Japanese version.

    Japanese version packed with cab.

    And it works on Win2000.

I installed 12.0.1202, which is a pre-release of 360 Extreme Explorer 12, based on Chromium 78. It can be obtained here: http://www.qiuquan.cc/browser/360chrome.html (behind some other stuff and semi-broken classic captchas)

I installed it on Windows 2000 and XP. However it is quite broken as the first few attempts to use ended in freezes; now it is more stable. However it tries to use IE6 to render everything on Windows 2000; as IE6 is blocked in my firewall that went nowhere quick. XP is being a pill on my T60 so haven't tested as much there, but it was able to load the post-install page without apparently relying on IE.

There is no indication that XP has been dropped so hopefully they will continue refining the product in time for its final release!

    Two other notes:

-I had to rename the installer because my English NT5.x installations had a hard time with the Chinese characters and kept telling me "file not found". XP went into a classic GDI+ resource shortage fit and required a logoff when I tried renaming it there.

-I had to copy the EN-US locale file from my v11 install to get v12 to start. However everything is still displayed in Chinese.

360ee v 12.0.1006.0 beta is used "CreateThreadpoolWork", so it crashes at once :3
