  1. If I have both of those enabled will it still work? Problem solved of Network and Sharing center's lovely error, " The page failed to load." You do need both Network Explorer and Event log for the Network and Sharing Center to work. Check my list above of all the items I removed if you are unsure about removing a component. I am able to access Network and Sharing Center even after removing all of those components.

  3. I manged to get my Vista SP1 Home Premium disk to work and it connects to Network and Sharing Center. Here are the following things I did. I do not use a printer or scanner with my laptop. I wanted to make Vista SP1 Home Premium as small as possible. Managed to get Vista SP1 Home Premium disk down to 919.49MB. Drivers Integrated: Conexant High-Definition Audio Driver Conexant HDAUDIO Soft Data Fax Modem with SmartCP Driver NVIDIA nForce Chipset Driver NVIDIA GeForce Series Video Driver Ricoh 5-1 Card Reader Driver Synaptics Touchpad Broadcom Wireless LAN Driver for Microsoft Windows Vista Components Removed: Accessories: Accessibility Disk Cleanup Mobility Center Snipping Tool Speech Support Welcome Center Windows Sidebar and Gadgets Wordpad Drivers: Display Drivers Diva Server Modems Printers QLogic Fibre Channel Adaptor Scanners Sound Controllers Storage Controllers [Except HP] TV Tuners Games: Game Explorer Inbox Games Premium Inbox Games Hardware Support: Floppy Disk Support Infrared Support Printer Support Languages: Removed ALL languages Multimedia: Media Center Movie and DVD maker Music and Video samples Sample Pictures Screensavers Shell event sounds Slideshow Sound Recorder Wallpapers Windows Aero Theme Windows Calendar Windows Photo Gallery Network: Connect to a Network Projector Remote Desktop and Assistance Remote Desktop Client Windows Collaboration Windows Mail Services: Computer Browser Desktop Window Manager Error Reporting IPsec Policy Agent ReadyBoost Remote Registry Windows Search Windows Time System: Beep Digital Locker Disk Defragmenter Disk Quota Guided Help Help IMAPIv2 Burning Support Manual Install (Setup.exe) Microsoft Agent Natural Language Parental Controls Performance Counters Reliability and Performance Monitor Run a legacy CPL elevated Security Center Sync Center Tablet PC User Account Control (UAC) Windows Backup Windows Defender Windows Easy Transfer Windows SAT (Performance Index) Tweaks: Security: Disabled [AntiSpyware Realtime Protection] Default [DEP (Data Execution Prevention)] Disabled [user Account Control (UAC)] System: Disabled [AutoPlay] Hibernation [Off] Memory requirement [256MB] Disabled [Paging Executive] Power button [sleep] Power scheme [High performance] Sleep button [sleep] Explorer: Enabled [Control Panel - Classic View] Yes [show extensions for known file types] Yes [show hidden files and folders] Yes [show protected operating system files] Internet Explorer: Enabled [iE Phising Filter] Enabled [Phishing Verification Ballon Tips] NOTE: I would like to disable more services, but fear for my programs not working because of a service, I am not removing any more services. Instead of removing more services, I plan on using speedyvista.net (Windows Vista Minimal Settings)
  4. I made a Vista SP1 Home Premium ISO and burned it to a DVD. After I burned the DVD, I used vLite on the Vista SP1 Home Premium disk. I am not sure if driver integration, component removal, & tweaks work with the Vista SP1 Home Premium disk. I would like to disable as many components as possible and still be able to use LAN and WLAN.
  5. I have disk cleanup enabled and I still receive the error.
  6. I am receiving the same error, "The page failed to load." when I open Network and Sharing Center. I would like to resolve this problem and any input is highly appreciated.
