Great tutorial, I'v searching for weeks for a customized setup.exe tutorial. Do u know where u found this one and are there others?

I've seen many custom setup.exe built with autoplay media studio, but does any one know where to start? does anyone has any sourcefiles of building a custom setup.exe?

Has anyone here ever tried WinXP 64-bits and if so pleaze let me know u'r opinion about it. Is downloading using shareaza for example in WinXP 64-bits worse or better than WinXP 32-bits or equal to WinXP 32-bits?

Hello, The latest build of WinXP 64-bits according to Microsoft does not support CD recording. Does this mean I cannot burn CD/DVD's with CDBURN/DVDBURN.EXE?

I see there are a lot of problems about those ati catalyst drivers, can I install those drivers using this method?

Does this method also work witch SATA drivers?

In the components folder there is a file called mediactr.cab, What is this file?

Hello people! I have recently acquired Windows XP media centre and Tablet PC edition, however i don't fully understand what these really are. As u can see in the screenshot, this is media centre edition. The folders and files are alike those of Windows XP Professional except for the folder cmpnents and the files win51ip2 and win51ic. Whats up with that?

Is it even possible to decompile an autorun program created with AutPlay Media Studio?

Here's a simple autorun menu that was in a windows xp pro/home cd Does anyone recognize this or know a similar one, The autorun.exe says scansoft but i can't find it nowhere on the scansoft site. AUTORUN.zip

In what language is setup.exe written and can i decompile it in order for me to see the sourcecode en adjust it to likings

How do i do that? With what kind of program?

Is it possible do decompile it then, so u can access it and change stuff. By the way is setup.exe made with ms visual studio/c++? and if so can I use the same program to alter it?

i'm busy with creating a multi-boot dvd with al of the windows xp versions, i'd like to add the options to install windows xp media center and tablet pc, see the screenshot. this one has been made with autoplay studio, but i find that to rather difficult to use, so i'd like to see if it would be easier just to change the setup.exe instead of building one from scratch.

Can anyone tell if it is possible to modify the setup.exe file in an windows xp distribution? I'd like to add some more functionality.

i am trying to make a bootable windows2003 enterprise/standard cd. but in order to that i need to create a folder with the necessary bootdrivers (3ENT/3STD). I like to know how to do that, how do i know which driver to put in those folders?

Do u have a suggestion for an autorun program that fairly easy to use and with great results? Just quickly offtopic: is cdshell better than bootscriptor, and if so does the bootscriptor scripting language apply for cdshell as well?

I know that there are some autorun menu's that use a standard autorun.exe plus some ini configuration files. And its with these ini configiration files that u can adjust the autorun.exe to your likings. do u know of any?

Is there like a tutorial or guide about this subject (create an autorunmenu) somewhere here or elsewhere which i can use to make my own autorun menu, cause i think its a little to complex for without any help.

yes there is a apm file, but if u say that this has been built with autoplay media studio, howcome im am not able to open any of these files that are in the autorun menu. I have installed an eval. version of autoplay media studio. and by the way what do u mean in your first reply by IMHO?

this is the setup.exe that is used. Do u mean that this setup has been built from scratch or they hacked it and added some extra functionality?
