  1. Is there a way to make rundll32.exe on Win XP Pro to completely log the person off the computer?
  2. One question... Let's say DELL has an order for 15 computers for a company. Do they put the same key on all 15 computers or different ones?
  3. So is all this hardware compatible w/ XP and 2000 and 98SE?
  4. It should work...In XP, when I uninstalled "Black & White", it was still in my uninstall menu, so I searched for the game in my registry and deleted the key! All is well now. Does anyone know how to hide things in your Control Panel?
  5. Harriey, try reinstalling XP, but DON'T FORMAT, just REINSTALL! That should probably solve your problem ! I have the same processor at the same speed with the same OS and I don't have problems!
  6. Your computer is slowing down and is a bit too slow... FREEZING in other words. I have a Toshiba Laptop and it does the same thing every now and then.
  7. How old is the memory and HD you are using? That's seriously crazy! Put in a P2 or P3 or something a bit faster!
  8. This calls for a RE-FORMAT! Or if you don't wanna do that, just copy the Office directory to a CD, delete the Office directory from your HD, look for the uninstall string in the registry (Usually Microsoft Office, it should be under a key called something w/ numbers "{76534615461-36415851}" or something like that.) Delete the key that its under and voila! Now try installing your new software! Hope this helps!
  9. OK, forget about that. I got a quote from a company in Montreal, and here's what it came out to... 10. I've heard things about Burners being used as CD-ROM drives and stuff like that and some ppl say that its bad to use them that way cuz it wears them out...
  11. What version of XP and how fast is your computer?
  12. 17" Monitor...And yeah, I do use it for games! Is there a way to change the resolution JUST FOR MYSELF instead of everybody? I keep changing it, but then everybody has the same res!
  13. That's like half of what I want...You forgot GOOD Burner, CD-ROM, etc.
  14. Yeah, freaks me out too! But I just edited the registry and restarted the computer. My taskbar and desktop SHOW! Thank the REGISTRY! :D Gamehead's Tip: DO NOT INSTALL "TALISMAN"!
  15. OK, so I logged on to my computer and MY TASKBAR and DESKTOP isn't there! What the hell happened?
  16. Yeah, I find the icons and taskbar too small when I make it bigger...
  17. What program do you use to change your styles? Is it free?
  18. Here's my desktop! The background is XPGlass. - removed- because I get rid of it every 2-3 months... (What the hell! Its not supposed to be that big!)
  19. Are those U.S. prices? I LIVE IN CANADA! :moon:
  20. Microsoft just came out with a new screensaver for Windows XP. This is 3-Dimensional and takes up about 3MB of HD space. Very cool if you have that boring one that came with the PC. The system requirements are as follows: • Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition or Microsoft Windows XP Professional • A 500 megahertz (MHz) processor, such as an Intel or an Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) or compatible processor. A 750 MHz or faster processor is recommended. • 64 megabytes (MB) of RAM. 128 MB or higher recommended. • 3 MB of available hard disk space. Super VGA (800 × 600) or higher. • 3-D graphics accelerator with 16 MB of memory minimum, compatible with Microsoft Direct3D version 8.0. A Direct3D-compliant video adapter is required. Microsoft has tested many—but not all—of the major video adapters. For the most recent list of supported adapters and updated drivers, visit Microsoft Windows Hardware Quality Labs site or Microsoft Windows Update. Read more from: Microsoft
