I'm a big fan of Avast. It doesn't seem to be resource hungry like McAfee and Norton. Lawrence.
  2. Hi people, I've long been a firm believer in Spinrite by Steve Gibson. And now he's just gone and released version 6 which is now both NTFS and linux compatible. It's quite steep at $89 for first time buyers but I reckon it's an invaluable tool in the technicians inventory. Nothing else like it on the market. I've managed to recover about 10 drives over the past 10 or so years when nothing else came close. Whilst I may sing its praises, pop over to http://grc.com and you'll see what I mean. Loz.
  3. Your code references [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Colors] Maybe it should reference: [HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Colors]?? Just a thought... Loz.
