john10001, the SP3 file you should be using is 316 MB (331,805,736 bytes) in size, named WindowsXP-KB936929-SP3-x86-ENU.exe with hashes MD5: BB25707C919DD835A9D9706B5725AF58 SHA-1: C81472F7EEEA2ECA421E116CD4C03E2300EBFDE4. This assumes you are using English. Enjoy, John.

Bendfella, this and your other question on the AddOn builder should be in the AddOns forum, not here. Good luck, John.

healer, I do not think it matters when you enter the product key if you use Vista or W7 to integrate an SP. Basically running under Vista or W7 and slipstreaming (integrating) an SP breaks the install. NLite uses the same process as the /integrate switch, thus the connection with the KB. You did not get prompted to Repair your XP because you did not use Prompt Repair for the Unattended mode of the Unattended Task. Please see the help (? in a circle) next to the Unattended Mode on the General tab of the Unattended Task. Enjoy, John.

Sorry! I didn't change any feature so I didn't know I need to attach the file. Here you are anyway. I did do it on Windows 7. Can you confirm the issue please? Any fix or workaround? healer, it is a well known problem (as Sp0iLedBrAt said) that creating an ISO for XP running nLite under Vista or W7 and integrating a Service Pack leads to your problem. The work around is to use XP (or a VM running XP) as -X- has said. Or, you can drop the SP. Enjoy, John.

Cosmin3, to get at your #2, you need to do some experiments. The best way to do this is using a virtual system. VirtualPC, VirtualBox and VMware Player are all free. Enjoy, John.
-
Mintaka, have you tried clearing your cache and cookies? Enjoy, John.
-
Mintaka, at the bottom of the forums there is a Site & Forum Issues sub-forum. See this thread. Please report your MSFN problems. A new version of the SW has been installed and is still a work in process. Enjoy, John.

Mintaka, it sounds like you have not read the EDIT to my last post. I now do not think it is a VirtualBox problem but a networked path problem. Please see the link provided in my EDIT. Hamlet is correct in so many ways, but nuhi is the owner/author of nLite and chooses not to make it open source. There have been attempts here to allow non-personal use and make it open source or at least allow someone to take it over. Nothing has changed, however. Thanks for your interest. Enjoy, John.

vibrant, you are welcome. I do not understand why you are getting an error on driver integration. You should get none. I also do not understand what the 288f_appcompat.txt file is. Please post a screen shot of the error message(s). You should get no errors running nLite or installing XP. Including all those versions of the driver is not necessary and can cause problems. I suggest you look at the Sticky above by Fernando 1 (expert here on drivers). He probably offers a driver for your HW. Enjoy, John.

Mintaka, welcome. Not sure who you are reporting to since nuhi (owner/author) has not participated here for some time. We all are in a work around mode. Many people have run nLite under virtual systems, including me (VMware Server) without a problem. It looks like to me you have identified a VirtualBox problem. I suggest you consider checking the Forum for VirtualBox. Enjoy, John. EDIT: I got to thinking about your running from a networked drive. Seems like I have seen threads long ago with problems using them. Please see this thread, post #2, from nuhi. I suspect it was not ever fixed. I now think it has nothing to do with VirtualBox. Sorry to mislead you.

metalfan, looks like to me you are using the correct driver. Do you have a problem? Are all the four files in the Floppy32 folder? What is the result??????? Your system will run faster if you enable AHCI. You have a jMicron chip, so I don't think Fernando 1 has a driver for you at this time, at least not in those two posts. Enjoy, John.

Cosmin3, sorry, I cannot help here. I have removed the Accessibility Options, so cannot even see the options and cannot even activate sticky keys with 5 shifts. I am also running XP x64 which sometimes has different nLite options. You will need to play. I do not see the other options you would like in nLite. This suggest you will need Registry tweaks. The best way to get there is to get RegShot (free program, search). You use it by taking a shot, then making your change then taking another shot; the program then compares these and gives the difference. I have made sever Registry tweaks for my machine this way. I also suggest you install a virtual system for testing. VirtualPC, VirtualBox and VMware Player are all free. Enjoy, John.

metalfan, if you will read the BOLD RED letters above, it says to attach (not paste) your Last Session.ini. Please edit your last post, delete your pasted Last Session and attach it, as requested. Thanks, John. EDIT: You are running nLite under Vista (or W7) to create an ISO for XP. This can be a problem especially if you are integrating a Service Pack. You should also always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders and run nLite only once doing all your work. A dual boot with W7 and XP should work just fine. I am doing that on this machine. I have XP x64 and W7 x64, installing W7 second. All works fine. I think you need to look at the two Stickies by Fernando 1, above, (the driver expert here) for a driver. If yours does not work, then use one of Fernando 1's for your specific HW. Enjoy, John.

Thanks, xper, feels better already. Enjoy, John.

I see no one has addressed the issue of performance and assume it will be dealt with as time goes by. Sometime the forum is quite snappy but most of the time it is painfully slow. I hope that this will be addressed soon. Thanks, John.

ATI MOBILITY RADEON drivers for winxpsp3 (nlite) and sound drivers
johnhc replied to Fictionate's topic in Device Drivers
Fictionate, welcome, you need to post this in the nLite forum and attach your Last Session.ini. See you there. Enjoy, John. -
Cosmin3, welcome. This is a real big problem - "Some of them showed error messages when integrating but this is not the big problem." You should get no errors running nLite. You are also including updates for IE8 and Media Player 11 but have installed neither. There are several good IE8 AddOns, (search and look at AddOn forum above) and you can use WMP11 Slipstreamer by Booogy, to install WMP11 and its updates. Remember to always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders and run nLite only once doing all your work. NLite will start with your Last Session if you select it at the front when running it. Enjoy, John.

inlineskater, welcome. Sometimes you can see that some are for Vista, W7 or W2000. Be sure to point to only the ones for your OS. There may also be drivers for multiple versions/models for your audio HW. If you like, post a link to your drivers and we'll take a look. Enjoy, John.

vibrant, welcome and thanks for the Last Session.ini. I see nothing obvious with it to explain your symptoms. Have you run nLite more than once against the same source? You should always start with a fresh copy of your CD files/folders and run nLite only once doing all your work. Did you get any errors running nLite - you should get none? Where did you get your source? Enjoy, john.
-
metalfan, I would caution about your language. A moderator can be harsh on those. What does "Cant attach Session.ini at the moment because the xp is installed to the machine that was running nlite." mean - you wiped your nLite folder? The Last Session.ini should be on your CD/DVD - attach it from there. The real question is what is your HW? If you have SATA drives you must run them in SATA mode. AHCI and RAID will require a text mode driver. Both PATA and SATA (Parallel/Serial IDE) are IDE mode and I have no idea what your BIOS settings are doing to you. You need to decide what you will be using; SATA, SATA with AHCI, or RAID, then set it in your BIOS. It is always safe to include the text mode driver and is required for the SATA/RAID cases. I really don't understand what you are doing or why you are not using nLite to include your text mode driver (one with txtsetup.oem file). You can install XP on any partition that is large enough. Enjoy, John.
-
metalfan, please attach your Last Session.ini, as requested in BOLD RED letters above. You need to point to a .inf file in a folder containing a txtsetup.oem file. In the naming convention shown, that wold be ./Floppy32/xraid_i.inf or something like that. I do not see it in your post. You need a 32 bit floppy (text mode) driver for XP. You have included no text mode driver for your RAID/SATA, so you cannot load XP. Find the correct files and point to the .inf. Enjoy, John. Ponce, I think that is a W7 driver. EDIT: Sorry, I am wrong, Ponce and metalfan. This is what you want to point to: ./Floppy32 ./Floppy32/jraid.cat ./Floppy32/Jraid.sys ./Floppy32/xraid_f.inf ./Floppy32/txtsetup.oem

Bendfella, you need to edit your first post and remove the reference Kelsenellenelvian is referring to. Go to Start then Help and Support and look for the switches for copy of whatever command you are using in your batch file. For copy, I think it is /y (answer 'yes' to overwrite). Enjoy, John.

Surgeon100, I think your last statement is the closest. It is generally NOT possible. I see you list your country as Germany, but since you did not attach your Last Session, I cannot see if you are using a German language version of Windows. There is a German nLite forum that may be of some help, if you are. I recommend an Update Pack, such as those found on the RayanVM Forum. I do not know about languages are available. Enjoy, John.

To DL SPs and updates, go to the Windows Download Center, type in what you want for a search and DL the file. Enjoy, John.
