lol wow having a pretty tuff time finding this one, second day looking but trying to find a sound driver for IBM Thinkpad 380z for XP.... any suggestions or links would be appreciated greatly lol i got this load of laptops in and this is the last one but having a hard time finding the sound on this one >.<

Hey, Not sure if there is a fix for this or if anyone else has herd of this problem before but... i bought the game and works fine, but the wireless guitar cuts out from time to time. Say if you had to hold one of the keys down for a few seconds it will cut out like the batteries are going dead... or if your hitting a good bit of notes back to back seems to miss some of the notes. I have rock band and the wireless guitar works fine on there but, on gh3 controllers are having a hard time working. I also though mabe it was some interference from something else? Not sure... anyone have any ideas ? Thanks!

Hi, having a pretty tuff time finding a video driver for a Compaq Armada 1700 laptop... its pretty old and all im finding so far and linux & 2000 or later drivers... hoped i could find and driver somewhere that would work with it (mabe an armada 1750 video driver for xp or something of that nature) but no luck so far. I would load 2000 Pro but... long story short it has to have XP no other choice atm... here is the info ugg hope someone has an idea or solution lol... thanks to anyone that saved my butt lol

well... i tried all the methods above but still no luck unplugged all power & removed the cmos battery over the weekend lol tried flashing the bios but it wont let me into setup or boot options (F2 & F12 and tried other F keys & del) it just goes like its booting from hdd everytime. tried to boot from Davids Boot cd just to see if it mabe is going to cd before hdd, but no luck there either.... doesnt have a fdd so i hooked up an external one that goes in usb to see if i could boot from that as well but doesnt work either :-/

Got a laptop shipped in to the store but did not come with bios password lol... i have taken the battery out of the laptop, cmos battery, and unplugged it for about 10 mins and still no luck, password is still there. Any ideas how to remove password from a Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop? Thanks...

Ok here it goes lol I have to laptops that are exactally the same. One loaded windows xp perfect with no problems but the other one i loaded and worked fine for about 2 hours then keeps comming up with "Non-System disk or disk error, replace and strike any key when ready" error. I am very familiar with this problem, the 2 laptops have fdd's and cd-roms. Heres what i have tried so far.. 1. I have tried to reformat the hdd and reloaded the OS which i cant get to be sucessful because the laptop is now giving me a hard time trying to get cd to boot (realy only my xp cd's) 2. I have scanned the HDD with several HDD scanners to see if i could find any bad sectors or whatnot. All test came in fine. 3. I took the hdd out the other laptop that was finished loading with all the drivers and that was also tested with the hdd tester and still after putting that pre-loaded hdd in the non-working laptop and it still stops at that spot on booting and gives the error. 4. I removed the FDD just incase there was some problem that the floppy drive is showing their is a disk in it. 5. I removed the cd from the cd rom. Basically it is showing nothing on the hdd when i have a fully loaded hdd. The error almost refers to older machines when you have a floppy drive in the computer that its trying to boot from and its not a boot disk. Any suggestions would be realy nice. Computer models are Compaq Armada 1750 Thanks!

Ok... Heres what i did to solve the problem with getting it to boot from cd before hdd. (not sure if this is proper way but hope it works for others) I put in the XP CD in and restarted the laptop, and pressed the "del" key over and over until computer started up and... it booted from cd instead of HDD. Not sure if this will work for everyone but worked on my end... hope someone else gets help from this!

I have a compaq armada 1750 laptop, and need to boot from cd. I cant get into the bios to change the boot order to get it to boot from cd. I have read that it requires the original hdd installed to be able to access the bios? but not sure might just be internet clutter lol but it does have a FDD and CD-Rom, anyone have any ideas on how to get it to boot from my XP cd?

I have a download folder that i keep my music and other downloads in... but my friends and i want to all share what we have downloaded. I was going to use Microsoft Groove but has a folder limit of 2gb :-/ ... i could simply put them into more than one folder but would make things more difficult. anyone know a way / or program that we can sync folders between us? There are about 5 people and 20gb of software & music etc. thanks! edit ------------------------------------------ found FolderShare by Microsoft lol going to try that out and see whats up.

Anyone know a way to increase the sharing of a folder to higher than 2gb? What im trying to do is share my music with a couple friends of mine and vise versa. All total we have about 13gb of music in our My Music folders... If anyone has a better idea i'm all open for idea's && thanks!

well.... if he doesnt want to completely remove norton's but with its protection running it crashes up the computer like so, ask him how would he feel if he just ran norton's for its virus scanning instead of live protection? you could disable it from starting on startup in msconfig and have him manually run the virus scan when he wants to scan. you can tell him that would free up about 40-60mb of ram increasing his computers speed if you need something else to help convince him lol. but that way he keeps norton's and the printer ?

hmm... nasty situation... might want to right click My Computer, Manage, and check the system event viewer and see if you see any conflicts/errors in there that might be related.... but my first guess (far out there guess lol ) would be to try and reinstall Norton's? But to completely remove Norton's you have to have a tool from their website to "completely" remove it...

sry didnt quite understand what was said. weird situation for a hdd to stop it from posting but likely thats the cause then..
