What exactly does the SetLocal? Google isnt telling me that. And when I use this, it finds the CDROM? This is how my RunOnceEx is now: And I should make it like this?

Hey, Im using RunOnceEx from CD for some applications. I have a CD.txt in the root of the XP-image. Is in the RunOnceEx.cmd. In VMWare it works all fine. But when I do a live install I get an error @ RunOnceEx. RunOnceEx can't find "%CDROM%\SOFTWARE\SkypeSTD_400226.exe" and all the other programs. Basicly it cant find the ""%CDROM%". And I think that this is because of the CD.txt. CD.txt isnt permanent, and I think that is the problem. But I tried DetectCD.exe, but it cant be found anymore. And setenv.exe is a bit complicated? Someone could explain it a bit? Or does anyone knows an other permanent CD-detecter? Thanks in advance!

Oki, two more questions. 1) I got my new harddisk. What size shall I make the partition of Windows 7? I will probably install Office 2k7 on it and maybee some game. I was thinking about 40GB? Dunno exactly how much it uses right after fresh install. (will do a VM so I can check amount of GB's ). So its not really a question 2) I currenty have an older X1900XT graphics card, but AMD stopped suporting the X1900 series (since Catalyst 9.3), so they havent made a Windows 7 Catalyst for my grapics card.. What drivers should I use then? Windows Vista X86 Catalyst 9.3? (since im going to use Win7 X86).

Yes, you can install office 2k7 before drivers.

How can I check if "MSXML 6 + Update (KB954459)" is installed correctly? It not in add/remove like dotnet itself.

Yes I just found out, lol. Pretty easy, made a partition of 30gb's. Wait a few days then download and burn image of RC and then im good to go. Then I should use WAIK and vLite?

I now have Windows 7 installed in VMWare, will wait for RC1 and then make a dual boot (if i can find out how to dual boot xp and windows 7 Google ftw:D).

So I found this option in nLite: nLite adds the following line to winnt.sif: Is this the only thing that changes or is there more? Since I can't find a detailed description on the things nLite changed. I downloaded everything except: - .NET 3.5 full redistributable package (dotnetfx35.exe 197MB), contains 2.0 SP1, 3.0 SP1 and 3.5 frameworks. 3.# frameworks are not processed for W2K installer(s)/add-on(s). - .NET 3.5 langpack (dotnetfx35langpack_x86XX.exe -- note it has the same filename as 3.5 SP1 langpack), contains 2.0 SP1, 3.0 SP1 and 3.5 framework langpacks. 3.# framework langpacks are not processed for W2K installer(s)/add-on(s). -All the restricted hotfixes. If i know make the installer , I wont get anything on MU?

Something else: .NET 3.5 full redistributable package (dotnetfx35.exe 197MB) .NET 3.5 SP1 full redistributable (dotnetfx35.exe 231 MB) Same file names, can't put them together in one directory withouth changing the name of 1 of them? Or does .NET 3.5 SP1 full redistributable (dotnetfx35.exe 231 MB) include everything from .NET 3.5 full redistributable package (dotnetfx35.exe 197MB) ?
