Ok thanks, I Like FPS games and Sports like Madden and NHL by EA. I also like the fact on the PC I can edit my teams and players (Names and ratings, etc). I have not upgraded my pc in over 5 years so figured time for it now. But I will not go cutting edge just want better graphics and good speed to last for next 2 years for some of the games like ones listed above. If PS3 has backword cap and it can play old PS2 games are the graphics good or ok? I have never played a PS3 or PS2 game on a PS3 so I am wondering if this is a option to way or not. Thanks

I was looking to buy a new PC but though maybe I should just use the money for a console. Ok here is the deal. I have a p4 2.6 ghz, 2gig ram, 256meg video card and looking at going to Intel core 2 quad 6700, 2 gig ram DDR2, BFG NVidia GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB and the P5E3 Deluxe/WiFi-AP LGA 775 Intel X38 ATX Intel Motherboard, etc. Ii use this for Graphic design now and Gaming. But I see almost all game makers going to the consoles now as it is cheaper for them and fear if I drop money on a new pc it may not be worth it for gaming, and I should just get a console box instead. So I have a few questions for all to chime in on. 1.) Is it worth it to upgrade my PC? 2.) Should I buy a console or not? 3.) If yes to buy a console should I get PS3 or XBOX 360 Elite? Thanks Much

I downloaded the file and went to apply the patch but when I double click the file like it says I get a message that pops up and says. What program created this file, and Ii can select from a list on my pc. I have no clue how do I get it to apply the patch? Ideas? Thanks

Ok I will check it out. So I guess upgrading a pc now is not a good Idea, better to get a console system like PS3? Ii was just about to bump up my pc from p4 2.2ghz 2gb ram, 256k video to a core 2 quad 6700,2gb ram, 640mb video. Arghhh

Ok thanks, I will check out the list. So this list has the new ones or have they stopped making them? I can not seem to find and close to the ones I listed anywhere in a current version. Ii like the straight fighting like MK and Virtual fighter games, but only see these now for the console systems and not the pc. Looking for a few current titles. For MK when I go to play it says MK Trilogy works best in a 15 to 16 bit pixel depth. I do change to a 16 bit setting but seems card jumps back to the 32 bit setting. When I play MKT this is what happens - It starts up as a small screen window in center of the screen, then goto select the game type and then goto select the players and as soon as I do I get this error on the screen Application Error: C:\MK_Tri\Mktrilw.exe - A privleged instruction was executed at address 004d5f0c. Cclick ok to terminate the application. Ideas on this? Thanks

Ok thanks, I run it from the website online and it runs full screen like you said. But I had it run for an hour and 20mins last night and then today in the AM when I turned on the monitor it was there still the tiny blue dot. When I booted the pc it went away in about 10 seconds so kinda seems to vanish quicker but it is still there. arghhh Shoul I run Jscreenfix again but for say 3 hours, or try something else??? Thanks

I remeber the days of Virtual fighter and Mortal combat for the PC. I have looked and looked and can not find any games like this for the PC. Can someone help me out with some names of game releases like this for the PC and windows XP? I still have MK but will not run on my pc now in XP I get and error and also graphics are really bad. I just got a new lcd panel and when I frist turn it on and boot up my pc I see a blue dot on the screen. But by the time the system boots up about a minute It goes away. Then when I reboot again (Restart) I see nothing but if I power down for a few hours then start the system back up it is there again. Is this a stuck pixel?? How do I fix this if it is? Thanks

Ok, I did just take a look only see the core 2 quad 6600 no core 2 quad 6700. But I did see the extreme QX6800 which I guess is close to compare with and it is not a huge jump in performace but $$ it is. Ok I did also read somewhere you could over clock with software which you run on the pc for a few hours at night and it does all the calculation for a overclock. You just let it know how much boost you want. Is this true? Or just junk? Is there a step by step online somewhere on how do the few OC steps? Thanks

Ok so how does this monitor fare? Hanns-G HG-28DJB? I want to use it for gamming and graphic design work. I have looked at Gateway, Acer and Samsung, even Apple and they are all from 700:1 to 1000: ratio.

Ok I have a question I am looking at getting the Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 Kentsfield 2.66GHz LGA 775 Processor Model BX80562Q6700. I have found it for $539 but just a few days ago saw it sell on Ebay for $323. new sealed in a box. Is this the way to go or should I stay with a known vedor like Newegg? Also I do see that the CPU chip above has 4meg of L2 cache but for around $280 I can get this Intel chip: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz LGA 775 Processor Model BX80562Q6600 is there a big performance differamce for the extra $$? Ok, Thanks. I now have for a CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 3.0GHz LGA 775 Processor. And to keep it cool a ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro 92mm CPU Cooler. And for Memory I can not find any that is DDR2 1333 to match up with the CPU, All I can find is a lower number than 1333 and it will slow down the performance I have been told. Best is even and then second is Memory higher then Cpu. Aand the CPU is 1333 mHZ for FSB. Is this true?
