  1. Please show me a clue, to these questions... I don't know how to do. 1. In .NET Framework, I noticed that the language packs of CLR are implemented by assemblies like "System.XML.resources.dll". How to write my own language pack for my classes like this? I don't know what I should do. (Could you give me a sample code?) 2. In .NET, how to write a MUI (Multilingual User Interface) Windows Forms program? I don't know how to use the resource file (.resx) and the Resource Editor in Visual Studio...
  2. I don't know this. An example, if I use Intel Core 2 Duo E series now, however I want to replace it with one Intel Core 2 Quad processor. Should I do something with this Vista system or I didn't need to do anything with it??? (Like replace the kernel files, etc) Thank You.
  3. I think #1's link to blogs.msdn.com is different to this situation... This link's contents are talking about the Windows Virtual Memory structure... It has been described in Windows Internals, 4th Edition, too. I agree with James, this problem is related to the chipset. Could jwhyrock explain the RAMs' details? (For example, how many and how do you install these RAMs... or RAM and Mainboard's model?)
  4. I guess NVIDIA's Control Panel is only two thing better than ATI's CCC... One is that, CCC needs .NET Framework 2.0 Redist. The second, ATI drivers' setup usually have sth bundle... (Like, Steam or some games trial...) P.S. To #40, what is A+ and MSOP???
  5. I have to say, this problem let me have a headache, too. Although in my searches some people said that use these KB could fix the problem... (They meet the same situation as yours, and others have a range of different network problems) But I didn't receive any positive result about it in my searches... Sorry about that... I will continue to keep an eye on this problem... If I found I will let you know. PS: It's strange. Because my computers and my friends' didn't have this. Why Microsoft added a lot of strange things in SP3...?
  6. Which screen the message does display? Does the message display when you enter the partition selection screen? And what your computer's hardware is? (May I know the chipset of your mainboard and model of it?)
  7. You can try these: (It seems that a lot of users have faced this problem in my place.) You cannot connect to an 802.1X wired network after you upgrade to Windows XP Service Pack 3 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/953650/en-us Device Manager may not show any devices and Network Connections may not show any network connections after you install Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/953979/en-us These are from the results of Google, based on users' blogs or comments. I don't know if it works to you... However, one thing is clear that Service Pack 3 of Windows XP could invoke this problem on some computers...
  8. Is GX240's mainboard based on Intel 845G Chipset? The supported CPU list should be: 478 Pentium 4 n/a 3.06 GHz 533 MHz 512KB Northwood All 478 Pentium 4 n/a 2.80 GHz 533 MHz 512KB Northwood All 478 Pentium 4 n/a 2.80 GHz 533 MHz 1MB Prescott All 478 Pentium 4 n/a 2.66 GHz 533 MHz 512KB Northwood All 478 Pentium 4 n/a 2.60 GHz 400 MHz 512KB Northwood All 478 Pentium 4 n/a 2.53 GHz 533 MHz 512KB Northwood All 478 Pentium 4 n/a 2.40 GHz 533 MHz 512KB Northwood All 478 Pentium 4 n/a 2.40 GHz 533 MHz 1MB Prescott All 478 Pentium 4 n/a 2.40 GHz 400 MHz 512KB Northwood All 478 Pentium 4 n/a 2.26 GHz 533 MHz 512KB Northwood All 478 Pentium 4 n/a 2.20 GHz 400 MHz 512KB Northwood All 478 Pentium 4 n/a 2.00 GHz 400 MHz 512KB Northwood All 478 Pentium 4 n/a 1.90 GHz 400 MHz 256KB Willamatte All 478 Pentium 4 n/a 1.80 GHz 400 MHz 256KB Willamatte All 478 Pentium 4 n/a 1.70 GHz 400 MHz 256KB Willamatte All 478 Celeron n/a 2.80 GHz 400 MHz 128KB Northwood All 478 Celeron n/a 2.70 GHz 400 MHz 128KB Northwood All 478 Celeron n/a 2.60 GHz 400 MHz 128KB Northwood All 478 Celeron n/a 2.50 GHz 400 MHz 128KB Northwood All 478 Celeron n/a 2.40 GHz 400 MHz 128KB Northwood All 478 Celeron n/a 2.30 GHz 400 MHz 128KB Northwood All 478 Celeron n/a 2.20 GHz 400 MHz 128KB Northwood All 478 Celeron n/a 2.10 GHz 400 MHz 128KB Northwood All 478 Celeron n/a 2.00 GHz 400 MHz 128KB Northwood All 478 Celeron n/a 1.80 GHz 400 MHz 128KB Willamatte All 478 Celeron n/a 1.70 GHz 400 MHz 128KB Willamatte All 478 Celeron D 350 3.20 GHz 533 MHz 256KB Prescott All 478 Celeron D 350(G1) 3.20 GHz 533 MHz 256KB Prescott All 478 Celeron D 345 3.06 GHz 533 MHz 256KB Prescott All 478 Celeron D 340 2.93 GHz 533 MHz 256KB Prescott All 478 Celeron D 335 2.80 GHz 533 MHz 256KB Prescott All 478 Celeron D 330 2.66 GHz 533 MHz 256KB Prescott All 478 Celeron D 325 2.53 GHz 533 MHz 256KB Prescott All 478 Celeron D 320 2.40 GHz 533 MHz 256KB Prescott All 478 Celeron D 315 2.26 GHz 533 MHz 256KB Prescott All 478 Celeron D 310 2.13 GHz 533 MHz 256KB Prescott All I don't know if it is very exact...but should be... PS: Ah there... Celeron D probably needs to update mainboard's BIOS... and the 800Mhz FSB CPU is NOT official supported by 845G...
  9. This is right, because your modem's speed is not stable. And I noticed that USR's page. The OS supports are all gray... Since this driver is not for Vista, I feel that this is a problem from the difference of Network Components between XP/2000 and Vista... (I mean the components/drivers in kernel mode) Of course, this is my guesswork. However...I cannot give you a workaround... No available drivers, no work... (I have seen the driver. Although this driver gives you a INF file, but when you add INF in the window of Add New Hardware or others, this file will lead you to the InstallShield Launcher... I can't modify this INF file. Very sorry about this... )
  10. em...Just a joke here... Long long ago, someone did as this... Exactly, buying this to a PC is not good as buying a "theater system" to TV, etc.
  11. Are the drivers you are having trouble with old, or newer? ATI catalyst drivers have been pretty rock solid since v7.1 released, back in January of 2007 if I am remembering the date correctly. If you're running into people using 6.x (or heaven forbid 5.x or 4.x) versions, then yes, these weren't of the highest quality. Note that the 7.x releases were the first official releases after the AMD purchase of ATI (coincidence? I think not). Ah yeah, I agree. (However in my place, the magazine still says that AMD-ATI's drivers have some problems. I cannot see if this is true ) BTW, how do you feel about ATI catalyst control center---CCC? (vs NVIDIA Control Panel)
  12. "Opening the package, means you agreed EULA." I haven't seen the EULA yet...
  13. A question: To Windows Installer, what is the difference between the one in Client Version of Windows and in Server Version of Windows? (mainly installing and configing behaviors) Because, I have a 3rd party modded driver use this to install, but both Server 2003 & Server 2008, it prompted like "Cannot find the file". In Client Version of Windows, it works. The installer is a exe file, with a "bootwrapper". I noticed, in Client Version of Windows, the installer will create a temp MSI file named like "3e6cc3.msi" in %temp%, a copy of the extracted MSI file from the installer exe. (I guess the installer binary runs this temp copy) But no creation in Server Version. Who can explain this?
  14. Have any possibility in UAC settings??? Is the installer an .exe executable file?
  15. That's allowed. However DO NOT make copies for others.
  16. Yeah, "my game mode" can make the system fit to games, no worry about the optimiztion. All waste services are down and necessary things is running in background. (priority all low) Also, the installation of Windows could select the components, not a lot of things hard to understand. WGA, only add this to the version could sell to the region which illegal is serious. However, Why Microsoft don't add a Download Manager to Internet Explorer, which download slower and slower... PS To Nexus_06 at #47: How about "Super Administrator"???
  17. Here is another question: The first post is about Disc media, but, HOW ABOUT THE IMAGES FILES? (For example, Windows XP or Vista's .iso image from Microsoft sites, without CD-KEY)
  18. That's correct. The Windows XP Text-mode Setup Front-page, 'R' goes to XP "Recovery Console". Actually, this is a console interface, need to input commands to control. Kelsenellenelvian's words means, run a normal installation from the Installation Disk, as you install a new and clean system. The way to do this is same as installing XP on a new PC. A message will be displayed to you during this operation, said you have installed Windows XP. Press R, the Setup will do a repair install. (If you Press ESC, then Setup will let you select the partition where you want to install in. you can also select the partition where you have XP installed)
  19. I feel that ATI Drivers is not good as NVIDIA, so... (Because I meet several problems from ATI when I do Computer Maintenance works in local area )
  20. Agree with #8, my old machine is running out when running Chrome.
  21. Er...What driver of NIC are you using? Packed with OS or newest Downloaded?
