  1. Oh come on, these people are just asking to be arrested. They blatently pirate software and commonly distribute trojans through this software. I'm sure if any of you advanced MSFN'ers turned to the Dÿrk Side you would be better than these punks. /hehe, imagining an evil pirate Gosh probably named Gõšh
  2. I will I actually got this to autobuild for my network installs years ago. Now everyone wants XP... Where's my XP... When you gonna rollout XP... blah blah blah Real men still use NT!
  3. Ah OK, I feel bettter. You had to reboot. Thought some black magic was going on I didn't know about
  4. What? OEMSETUP.EXE does that? ****. Does it run from DOS? If so, does it Partition/Format/Run Setup without a reboot, allowing files to be copied to the new C: drive?
  5. I didn't realize that you could copy a "template" user over the the default user profile in XP. In NT you used the My Computer/Properties/User Profiles/Copy To... to copy a template profile over to the default. This would clear some SIDS so things wouldn't get screwed up (but missed some and still messed up). Are you using Explorer or the Command Prompt to do this copying? I used to do this in NT with limited success but found that it screwed up some things. SIDS were duplicated for all accounts, directories pointing to the template users profile. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TAKE ANOTHER APPROACH. You are just asking for some weird s*** to happen down the line that will drive you crazy.
  6. For my Windows98SE AIO CD I used a boot floppy image to boot the cdrom. In the floppy image I have scripts that check the volume label of the drive, if it doesn't see READY98 as the volume label it prompts you to format the disk. I use GDISK (freeware) to partition and format the disk and set the volume label all in one big swoop. Then reboot. The next boot it checks the label again and see's everything is groovy. It copies all the setup files to the hard disk and runs setup from there. I use a script to create an unattend.txt file. I've used this process since (believe it or not) Windows95 - yes I even have a Windows95 AutoBuild CD. I wish this web site was around back then!
  7. I ran into the same problem TheBee. I couldn't find a workaround for this either. You either have to integrate them like jotnar said or boot with F6 from a plain vanilla XP Cdrom (ack). The problem is that the files are not copied to the $WIN_NT$.~LS directory, so after the 1st reboot setup can't find the drivers. I know of no workaround for a quick and dirty F6/DriverOnFloppy solution when using unatteded CD's. It would be nice, I feel your pain.
  8. The firewall at my work constantly gets in the way of me doing what I need to do. They block all anonimizer/translator type sites. Even google's translate feature is blocked. They will blobk MSFN soon for chat related issues - this is how draconian they are. *sigh* - anyhow... I'm looking to setup something on my home PC that allows me to goto web pages through a https tunnel from work (or something similar). There was an old program called Triangle Boy that worked great but the government shut down. Anyone know of something else I can use to access the the web through works stupid firewall?
  9. As opposed to PayCheckSum which is the amount you get after taxes, car payments, rent and food.
  10. OK - I think I figured out a workaround. For some reason the RD command won't recognize the C:\Ý directory. The trick is to MOVE this directory to another name first THEN delete it. MOVE C:\Ý C:\XXX RD /S /Q C:\XXX Seemed to work for me. I'm doing an new build so I'll let you know if this doesnt work. BTW: This can't delete directory problem ONLY occurs with Quicktime created C:\Ý directories. If you manually create the C:\Ý directory there is no problem using the RD command to delete it! :newbie:
  11. Why in the world would you want Nero InCD installed?
  12. You might want to check out THIS link before getting your memory. Read the whole thing - especially pay attention to the slower timings used on PC4000 memory. Nice board, I have motherboard envy.
  13. As far as I understand it, you can only slipstream Windows Patch Files that have a .MSP entension into Office. You will have to keep using your RunOnceEx method.
  14. I'm with JPamplin on this one boys. I can't get the RD command to recognize the Ý [alt+0221 / 0x0DD] character. This is definitely a glitch with the command interpreter.
  15. It's a quirk in Quicktimes installation. I have the same problem. eirogge do you still have that cmd file to delete this directory? I can't seem to get the correct extended ascii character for the Ý correct.
  16. ****, I really needeed this last week. Nice work, thanks Ausmith1.
  17. The trick is to use WinWaitActive for windows to pop up and have focus (be the active window). for example: Run, c:\temp\install\setup.exe ; WinWaitActive, Choose Setup Language, Select the language Send, {ENTER} ; WinWait, Welcome, Welcome to the Setup program. WinActivate, Welcome, Welcome to the Setup program. Send, !n ; Notice the bottom 3 lines. I wait for the window I want to exist. Then I activate the window. Then I send keys to that window.
