hello all, i have windows xp sp1, i installed style xp and applied a theme jaguar, whenever i reboot the desktop icons of my computer and others changes to the default of winxp but in start menu they are same like the apple mac style? i have to reapply the theme again and again after reboot to get the mac icons back on desktop? any help, on how to get them permanently there thanks

Thanks very much BLAMO , i shud have mentioned your name in thanks list I am now confused in what does it really means by L2, L1, i can assume its level 1 cache, level 2, so does this mean, that higher it goes the higher the level... hello, there are no other hdd in the machine, cd rom and hdd are on separate ide cables, i was trying to figure out the head and cylinders to manually enter the values, but tthe hard disk itself says on the cover like this LBA 156301488 its not written in headings as it used to like heads , cylinders and sectors any help appreciated, and when i put it on autodetect it takes ages and ages and i have to wait for long and long thanks and regards mutahir

Hello All, I had a old Pentium II 450 Mhz machine, i bought a western digital 80GB hard drive, and when i install the hard drive phsyically in it, (the hard drive has no jumper and defaults to Primary Master) when i turn on the pc, it won't pass the first bios screen and i can only press F2 and enter the bios and then come out again, even though i have set the boot sequence to cd rom but still it won't any help wud be appreciated Thanks and regards... Hello Gerry, I posted ur question on MS Forums related to Ms Project... I have got a reply from a person at that newsgroup which says this: What version of Project file is on the Mac? What version of Project are you using on the PC? If the Mac file is Project version 4.0, it can be opened on the PC using Project 98. Once the file is in Project 98 format it can be opened by any later version of Project. If the Mac file is Project version 3.0, then it will first need to be translated to Project 4.0 on the Mac and then opened with Project 98 on the PC. If you do not have a Mac (for Mac Project version 3.0) or have Project 98 (for Mac Project version 4.0), you will need to find someone who does. If you don't know anyone with these capabilities you can send me the file and I will open and translate it to Project 2000, if it is not corrupted. John I have his email, is it good to post his email here, or whats the way i can privately give his email to you...so u can email himself,i think he will do the stuff u are looking for... best of luck Mutahir

Hello bill, So basically you joined that machine to ur domain and then you used the username and password you gave ..??? now when u set it back to the workgroup it won't login to the passsword it had ... well, i searched on google with the string lost xp admin password and found this... hope it works for u rename the sam file in x:\winnt\system32\config you need the press f8 during startup and and go in console mode Just rename the SAM file to whatever u feel like and it will let u in through safe mode or may be in normal mode as well and then u can reset admin password. the link i got it from is ... http://www.duxcw.com/yabbse/index.php?boar...y;threadid=6492 Thanks and regards Do Let us know, if this worked for u...
