evilvoice replied to OutTrendz's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
@prathapml yea, the release date is 3/30/2004, but sp1 is 8/30/2004...so obviously it does not include sp1 -

;Sort Start Menu and Favorites in Alphabetical Order [-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder\Start Menu] [-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder\Favorites] I know its HKCU...but I apply my HKCU both at cmdlines and at runonceex (since the sounds tweak doesnt work some times)

hmm, whats the difference in the recycle bin posted above and "nuke on delete"? ;No Move to Recycle Bin [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\BitBucket] "NukeOnDelete"=dword:00000001 -
yea...youre telling me, I wish it would stay...but it doesnt...afaik there isnt another tweak for it...but heres the other thing...if you do an unattended and install programs through that...then you run the reg tweak, itll put everything you installed then in alphabetical order...so if you install your most used, you really arent gonna install much after that...maybe you will, maybe you wont...im trying to get it to where I wont install ANYTHING else once Ive done my cd LMAO.
-
as far as always, i dont think there is one...ie, thats the whole reason "sort by name" exists on the start menu...there is a reg key to delete so it is alphabetically, but if you install anything after removing that key, it goes back to not being alphabetically. the reg key should be in this forum, since I have it in my set...but if ya cant find it, ill post...but know that if you install anything after this, you will either have to rerun the tweak, or have it messed up.

Completed XP Setup Screens
evilvoice replied to Aaron's topic in Setup Billboard Screens for Windows
this is the only ffx one ive done...granted I dont really have permission for this screenshot...but I do own the game, not sure if it counts, but its squares image... Plz use free img host provided by our members. We are trying to keep our database size down. Thankx -
hmmm, happens to one version I have...does the program crash if Ive removed some of the bitmap resources? Like in the version that crashes, I removed a couple of bitmaps that werent really needed...I can only see that as being the reason it crashes...since it doesnt pull the string table (other than the 5 buttons)...but I think Ive removed string table (entering a space instead of words, since if you actually remove the table, it errors) for all of my winntbbu.dll, but it seems to work...would be nice if it didnt crash if some resources were removed...

@Sie Tjin Kian the setting xpcd is not my batch file, it is one taken from one of the numerous posts here...I am unsure who thought of this, but it is definitely not mine...also, wraith has said that the xml needs to be called with #'s and not %'s which is why there is #'s in the second part of that...I havent tested the file yet, but I guess I could try and see what happens... this works, btw... IF DEFINED xpcd "%XPCD%\XPlode.exe" /xml:#XPCD#\XPlode.xml /log:%systemroot%\xplode.log
-
Updated question: so, if I put xplode on all cds that I have, and some have comp1.xml, and others have comp2.xml...lets say that only one exists on each cd...either comp1 or comp2...now, lets say I use your example and put <items> <item display='Computer Profile 1'> <execute display='Computer Profile 1' program='#XPLODE#\XPlode2\xplode2.exe' arguments='/xml:"#XPLODE#\xplode2\comp1.xml" /log:"#SYSTEMDRIVE#\comp1.log"'></execute> </item> <item display='Computer Profile 2'> <execute display='Computer Profile 2' program='#XPLODE#\XPlode2\xplode2.exe' arguments='/xml:"#XPLODE#\xplode2\comp2.xml" /log:"#SYSTEMDRIVE#\comp2.log"'></execute> </item> </items> so if it doesnt find comp1.xml, itll pass by it and run comp2.xml? I also believe the way I have the files and dirs setup is correct since only one version of xplode2.exe would be running at this time...I know its just taking xplode and renaming it xplode2, but that is so there arent sharing violations, and I dont think there will be sharing violations since itll run one or the other, but let me know if I need xplode3.exe... i think that is what you meant when you posted your example, but I didnt understand it then LOL. but yea, let me know if that would work in theory.

.NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack
evilvoice replied to OutTrendz's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003

.NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack
evilvoice replied to OutTrendz's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
MHz, you must not be using best compression, mine compressed is like 12.3mb...but I set the sfx exactly how you have it, so now to test in svcpack.inf. -
.NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack
evilvoice replied to OutTrendz's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
has anyone been able to utilize this in svcpack.inf? Also, I think its been said that there is an error when using winrar temp extract (extracting to a temp dir)... -
I dont see how that example will shorten my batch file...? or maybe im missing something...basically, it runs one set of xml if the computer name is Computer, if it is not called computer, it runs the other set...they are not the same, and I do not want both installed on every machine...and then once one or the other xml is run based on computer name, then it checks for a 2nd cd. So basically, I would need a way for xplode to check the computer name and run the xml based on that...kinda like users reg tweaks, but maybe a little more advanced.
-
thank you, i appreciate it.

BAM, I want to have the custom images, please...also, about why those shortcuts end up there is because windows manages that...if you were to login as another user, theyll be in the same place for that user (change administrator to new users name).

cdimage 3.00 is actually cdimage 2.47...not 3.00, the GUI is beta 3...the 3.00 does not refer to cdimage, but rather his GUI program.
-
could you post main2.png? Also, I dunno why it isnt copying...it should...I was thinking at first maybe windows doesnt allow it to be moved, but it does. Another question would be, I wonder if windows rebuilds those links...like maybe the items are moved, but then also created again...have you checked to make sure the dirs your copying to in alluserprofile dont exist...another thing, I changed all %'s to #'s...doubtful thats it...and thats about all I have.
-
Ok, new question...this is currently what I am using to run a batch file (cmd file) <item display='Running Programs Based on Type of Computer'> <execute display='Computer' program='#SYSTEMDRIVE#\Install\custom.cmd' hide='true'/> this is custom.cmd If /I %computername%==Computer GOTO Comp1 ELSE GOTO Comp2 :Comp1 %systemroot%\XPlode.exe /xml:#systemdrive#\drivers\akumadev.xml /log:#systemdrive#\akumadev.log GOTO END :Comp2 %systemroot%\XPlode.exe /xml:#systemdrive#\drivers\computer.xml /log:#systemdrive#\computer.log GOTO END :END ECHO If you have a second cd to install programs, insert it now sleep 120 IF EXIST D:\2cd.xml set XPCD=D: IF EXIST E:\2cd.xml set XPCD=E: IF EXIST F:\2cd.xml set XPCD=F: IF EXIST G:\2cd.xml set XPCD=G: IF EXIST H:\2cd.xml set XPCD=H: IF EXIST I:\2cd.xml set XPCD=I: IF EXIST J:\2cd.xml set XPCD=J: IF DEFINED XPCD %systemroot%\XPlode.exe /xml:#XPCD#\2cd.xml /log:#systemdrive#\2cd.log ECHO Done Now, is there anything in the batch file that I can take out and have xplode run? (I mean like not use the batch file at all) Also, will the batch file work? in theory it looks like it will, but I dont know if xplode can be called like that or not...or if there are any changes I need to make.

Id like to see your guitransparent one...just cuz you say its cool lol...thank you for your help, and I hope there will be support for 1.1.2 in 2.0 cuz I really dont wanna have to change the script before I even have it working LOL...but all in all, I guess it would be easy to move to a new one
