All systems stable and running..it worked and i,m suprised i have 239mb ram and it runs good and i,m not having the feeling i,m on a old pc waisting my time.. This test is the start of a new adventure for all old retired pentium 3 !!! I,m wondering what you people think of this test? Need any help?

I agree but i have more then 1 computer so i just dont look at the installation part all the time..ill just come here and read or post some repport i,m testing..and its good to know that poor people dont have to upgrade that much if they learn how to work with Vlite.No joke !

All nerveus now cause in the other room i have my Toshiba Sattelite P3 1000Mhz with 240Mb ram availaible...installing Windows Vista Ultimate now bypassing the memory check it performs to see if the computer has at least 512mb ram available. (although i dont understand ..why my Gericom 1100mhz with 375mb ram ..never had that remark about to low on memory)... The set up has to be done from another windows installation so you have to copy your modified files by V-LITE , to your harddisk. When the installation files are copied to your harddisk..another partition would be cool aswel..then you have to run the crack called vista_nomem ..then select the winsetup.dll located in the just copied installation files on your harddisk ..look in the folder "sources" and select to show all files in the crack browse menu.. Then select the winsetup.dll and apply..it will say wrong file..bad format..then click restore and then crack again..the patch will be applied then and you are ready to start the set up straight from your harddrive..a cool thing for a low on recources computer..well low is just a mather of saying , i mean low for Vista ..but not for V-lite modified Install Cd ... All files are now installed and the Sattelite is getting ready to start for the first time.. It seems to be possible.. More repport Later ..

Hell yea it works out for me ..fimaly i have a new goal again..things get bored at a sertaine moment and i get a kick out of this project ///Luveee it !..Thanks for even spending time on this project cause its all free and stuff ..and my opinion is that people like you guys should get gifts or make a special version with the real secrets..cause i know you guys know allot more then your telling us and thats worted to stick around here. Well if i read it well .. The moderator just explained that programs would have to be singed to be able to install..Nlite does not do anything with the licence or activation part..you will need a dvd and activation code for yourself to work with vista ..

First of all set properties from trashcan to delete immidiantly in options..after that select windows classic theme..and please remove norton ..and all spybotters!!

Windows Vista Ultimate Ultra lite Yesterday created my Beta2 lite version of Ultimate version of Windows Vista and these are the repports ! TEST MACHINE USED - GERICOM WEBGINE SPECS - 1100 MHZ PENTIUM PROCESSOR (PENTIUM3) - 376 MB RAM - HARDDISK - 4GIG - SIS VIDEO AND SOUND CARDS - SWEEX WIFI NETWORK CARD ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The iso of my brandnew ultra lite version rolled out of the burner and the big adventure could begin..install Vista ultimate on a old laptop..cold this be possible? After the boot that went good i got no warning message of low am memory below 512 mb..and that was a good thing!! Ofcourse i formatted the 4000mb drive and windows vista warned me that it needed at least 2400mb space to be able to install so the 4 gig should be more then enough to continue the set up ! Suprised as i was the copying and installing of the my ript version of Windows Vista ..went really fast for an old pentium3 with only 375 mb ram ! All went good and after the install that took at least 45 minutes ..Vista was ready to be used ! I had to fix some driver problems ..but vista reacted good on the win xp drivers i combined with windows 200 pro drivers and my sound , video and networkcards worked ! After the protectin of my works with bitdefender internet security , my system was ready to go.. Because i removed many parts of the operating system i had to add a picture viewer (2mb) and a program called universal explorer to move files (1mb) cause in some way i can not move files with the mouse on my desktop .. Mediaplayer i left in the installation files so i have wmp11 ,but i,m sorry i did i dont like wmp11 in some way ,my next beta i will remove that aswel ! As burner i downloaded the freeware DEEPBURNER and all works great ! I,m on that machine now and i dont have the feeling ,that i,m on some old machine beeing all slow and sh!t ! I have 800 mb left and besides a voiptelephone www.freecall.com i wont install to mutch more on this Laptop..it can do almost everything and i sucsesfully brought this test to an good ending ! My next goal is to do the same on my other laptop a sattelite 1000 mhz pentium3 with 256mb ram More repports will be posted later in the day !

I had this error twice yesterday and it happent when i selected my other drive as temp ..cause my c drive was full This is what i did! I cleaned my tempfolder and make sure there is enough space left..try to render on the c-drive instead of an other drive where the program is not installed..although that should not be the problem ! Also if you get this error make sure to start the procedure again..simply close Vlite and start it again..now select the place where you saved the files read from your Vista dvd -point the program to that folder ! Then go to options and select a new folder for the working folder , when done hit apply ..now it will work and you will be able to make an iso after all is applied and saved ! Good luck..make sure that when you Work with V-lite that you disable things like chat programs and other programs that might use recourses and bug the proces.. Start Vlite after a fresh restart of your pc Good Luck!

Thanks for the reply Nuhi, wel i think it could be fun to exchange presets..cause one version can be better then the other..so many changes make it possible to have like many different functions and possibilities..cause 1 thing is clear to me..since i got to know Vlite , i got much wiser and smarter..thanks for that Vlite team !!! But example..yesterday i just composed a Vista Ultimate ..698mb on cd-rom and about 2600mb on disk ! This version is so lite that i installed it on my test machine a Gericom Webgine Laptop-1100mhz processor-375mb ram with 4000mb harddisk/normaly it would be impossible to run Vista with these specs. With this preset i made from another allready stript version (my beta1 ) i got a lite and fast windows vista ..Bill would never give to us ! So thats why i had this idea..cause with downloading a preset from another ....people could use the preset to get the same version as other users that had good results.. Although i must admid ,that it makes you even prauder if you dit it all by your self !! If one get errors at the applying part of the software..simply clean up your Temp-folder or select a new forlder under options of the program..also try to use the c-drive(if possible) to save the changes made (apply) MY test machine has now 900 mb free space left has it own lil picture viewer mediaplayer (not ript out ) and all drivers except modem drivers are present and fixed..everything works ..wireless laptop with Windows Vista Ultra Lite = My next test is a sony sattelite laptop with 256 mb ram and a pentium3 processor with 1000 mhz. More repport i will post later!

Does it make any sence to share saved Vlite composition files? Just wondering what happens if i open a saved file from another user..will it create the same iso file ?

You can try it..wont hurt..i think Vista support any videocard if you dont use the media center part and disable it in your new composing of Windows Vista..although i would advise and unused Harddisk with a capacity of 10gig then try to compose a v-lite version that is like 800mb in iso format..that will give you a setup and running of 3gig harddisk space so you will have 7 gig left to play with..keep your Winxp disk incase you dont get things to work..lmao

I just checked..my Vista lite boottime is also about 40 seconds..up and running !! Programs that start up with windows is only my virusscanner firewall !

I have a version of windows xp sp2 lite an iso of 125mb and it runs with 64mb ram..no explorer in it and most things like drivers etc are ript out..a good version for old pentium2 machines it runs good enough to do anny thing..webcam support is disabled do..so its really lite ! But to get back to the subject..its better to have enough ram 512 or more to run windows vista's most advanced version..and speed improvement will apair when one compile a new lite version of windows vista ultimate or whatever version one choose to make liter -version of ! My version runs perfect with its 745 mb ram and i had no errors for the last 24 hrs since install..instead i have a very fast running system that makes me happy ! Hope your version makes you happy aswel!

I dunno what you guys did to have a bad working vista..maybe you never reformatted your hd and maybe your disk is full with virusses or maybe you disabled wrong and necesary functions..cause my version of Vlite runs fast and stable ..but i install good protection before entering the net or installing programs. It seems your version of windows vista isnt a good one?? just suggesting some things here. The v-lite version i made is 777mb and installed about 3000mb ..and in some way i disabled the right things to have it running the way it does! So maybe you could post your selections in Vlite you made?? Vista runs very good on a pentium4 Comaq Evo with 745mb ram (some mb's are used for my video card) You should also disable the search option in Vlite composing part - cause that slows down the system bad..i have the idea that a log file is beeing sent to some server spying on what users look for..i try to block those things with bitdefender10 pro internet security..finaly also available for windows vista ! Dont use any other virusscanner as norton or avg and rubish like that ! Also make sure you disabled windows defender when you install bitdefender although you will see that option when installing bitdefender! Dont let programs do whatever they wish on your pc and take imidiant controle ! Good luck!

Anoying applyment message out of the system thanks to V_LITE Members..after trying the xp version i also downloaded v-lite to make my version of windows vista ..ofcourse with the greatfull help of V-LITE ! By the way forgive me my spellfaults..i,m dutch !! After scanning the source files i started to enable and disable things i tought could be disabled and came up to an iso of 777mb..i dunno how i did that ..anyway curious as i was with the iso dvd... (the 777mb did not fit on my cdr's of 700mb..so i choosed in nero to make an dvd iso instead..such a waise of the rest of the space..but who cares..its for the good of the test ..and my goal is to disable allot of stuff in the windows vista ! I started to back up my files i use an Compaq Evo 2500mhz p4 (old model) with 20gigs of harddrive so the original vista on it took like 13000 mb(13gig) ..so after 2 dvd's my files were backed up!!!) ...i booted with the V-lite composed DVD not knowing what i would get. Everything went real fast..installation of the original disk took like 1 hour or longer ..this one was done in 20 minutes i was very suprised!!! The skin i used is the simpel windows skin..so it doesnt look to fancy.but i coloured it my way so to me it looks wonderfull anyway its. my choice..i know what i choosed for..a fast windows with no bull..stuff and things i dont want ..like side bars etc All hardware was detected..something windwos xp could never done without the original compaq drivers..so i got an complete working system after the install!! For my big suprise the anoying applyment rule of vista was gone..i could remove folders from programfiles do what i want without the anoying windwos vista question: are you sure..bla i hated that the first day i saw it !!..but for the dummies its oke..so they cant mess up the system ..so good for them ..but not for me and most of you wizards up here !! Al in all i had a Vista that looks like any older version windows we know since win95 ...but under the hood it runs the latest windows vista ultimate and i must admid ..i really luve it and my thanks goes out to the makers..donate these guys cause they make the difference with these new uportunities (sorry for my spellfaults i could have typed in dutch aswel Anyway members i was so speedy to perform a clean install with my version of Vista that i forgot to back up my saved files from V-lite the composing etc so i cant tell you what i did or did not disable..i will have to make a new one ..i,m not sure if its possible to scan the iso file to see what i did or did not put inside , i hope that one of the members can aswe that question , cause shutting up vista really makes a fun system to work with !
