Sorry for the late reply ..no this is the Home Vista Ini file ..because i wanted it to run as lite as possible. This Home version is tested on a pentium 3 with 370mb ram..install only takes like 2500mb so you can also install it on a small harddrive if you are really out of hardware Best regards!

I tested speech with my original vista and installed e-speaking cause the microsoft software shipped with vista was givng me some headaches aswel..then i installed e-speaking http://www.e-speaking.com/ and it worked good after install better then ever.. Untill now i removed that part in Vista with Vlite because of the huge space it takes..is there an liter alternative for speech if the engine is manualy removed out of the version?? I remember that i had speech under win98 aswel///is there not some program that can replace the original speech engine??

What antivirus are you using cause NUhi with Bitdefender pro all versions i get no problems at all..and your program does not change any register keys or ask to get on the internet either ..so thats wonderfull ..to my opinion Vlite is safe to use without an firewall or scanner!

Toshiba recover cd?with vista right ?premium? oke.. Upgrade DVD?? explain is that the same as the recovery cd?? Upgrade to what excactly? upgrade from xp to vista? And you say the Vista lite made dvd installed fine without the serial? and why was that? Why did you not put in your serial at the install?? My question is this..witch dvd did you use to make the vlite edition..the one that came with your laptop or another? Update this information !

Tried the Home version and made it lite ...ended up with a 688mb iso file that installs nice ! I left media player this time and the theme ...alll looks fine and works.. Question....what are the biggest differences between home and lite? saw that the network part has some more options in ultimate version.. Anyway this home lite version seems to be perfect for a pc with 375 mb ram available !!

Hmm i got that message from Nero aswel when i tried to burn the iso together with some other files on a data dvd - nero commended that udf bla bla file bigger then 2gig etc...But then i decided to burn the dvd iso file as iso and that gived me no problem just rightclick the iso made with vlite and select open with Nero... System will be that set to standby for burning..and that dvd should boot if its made with vlite !!!!

Thx sir .. apreciate it .. update aboute above preset file Te preset posted above by me is still not the way i want it..the anoying part is still in it that while i opent a presetfile where that part was removed..no idea what went wrong.. sory ! Update thuesday 27 march I,m beeing blonde here..the anoying part i,m talking about is the UAC user acount controle !! In some versions of compiling ago i switched that off not knowing that would remover that part of Vista i dont apreciate altough pro's say its a good part of Vista cause it protects one agains software changes ..but i must say that UAC cant beat Bitdefender ..and this is no spam ..so i,m not scared at all to get rid of that screen attacker called UAC.. appolagies makers its nice for a rookie but not for users that want to work fast .. So that means that the preset file above is fine ..when done with installation goe to user acounts and there you will be able to switch off the UAC manualy ! Version above will also boot with no problem at all on a computer with only 256mb ram..yeaaah! Happy buildings and a new video is ready to be uploaded to YOUTUBE! Happy building !

Haha anyway Vista installed well on the satellite with 370mb ram but mr anoying is back..i mean the part of vista that needs confirmation everytime you change something fast..so i,m dissapointed because i managed to remove that part in a previous test iso so i reopent that iso to build from there but i might get problems with the memory again when booting from cd..anyway we will see..please check my presetfile and see if i forgot something.. Thx Here is that presetfile the one without the anoying part in it By the wayyyyy i discoverd split part in vlite and that solves my problem cause the sattelite has no dvd reader and now i just split it up in 2 cdroms and that will do just fine !!! vista_without_mr_anoying.ini

Anyway friends..i just downloaded the latest beta version of Vlite the 095 and its amazing !!! Yesterday i used an allready ript vista sourcefiles cd and i could not boot with it even do i selected 256mb compatibility..\ Today however i recompiled from the full vista dvd as source files and after removing the parts i dont want it gived me a 660.01mb file that boots without givving me any error on the sattelite with 370 mb ram..i,m very happy cause now its allready installing and i can finally delete the partition and install a fresh vista lite.. Well done master Dino !!!!!!!! Here is my preset file ! Last_Session.ini

Try to render to your C drive..in some way i also get errors if i render to another partition.. tell us the excact locations of the source and the save files that the first 2 steps when running Vlite Also tell us if the partition used are all ntfs

No i did not restart after the install of Vlite and the Filter manager you talk about..the program will start and first it will ask you to select the source files ..(the files where your Vista installation dvd is located..example you use your vista dvd ..then select..brouwse for your dvd/cdrom player. Next thing Vlite will ask you is to select a location for the new build lite version of Vista you like to create..select your c/drive..make a folder and give it the name ' vistalite' Very important !!!!! YOU NEED AT LEAST 3 GIGABYTE OF FREE SPACE ON YOUR C:.DRIVE !! Now if space is available.. Vlite will start to read all files to that folder..that will be used for stripping again when you come to the applying part where you selected all the parts you wanted to remove..its that easy !! Now start with the components and make your selections and read please at the right side what a component does..so dont just select all and remove all cause that wont work and will end you up with a Vista full headaches ! When you did all the steps ..hit apply and pray.. Good luck..o yea..make sure you have enough space i use 6 gig for working space..so i dont get errors and have to start allover again Viel Spass..

THx Extrabig for taking a look !! I downloaded the latest version of Vlite yesterday and start building from another ript version of Vlite.. I read the files from that allready lite vista version to harddisk and started from there.. Ofcourse i selected the 256pc option to make this cd work fine on computers with a powerfull procesor but low on memory..minimal 256mb!!! New in the latest Vlite is that you have the possibility to install your vista with a minimal memory of 256mb ram.. Also the windows media player etc is new in this version.. I had the strangest thing do..my finished very lite vista cd..only 688mb and made for 256mb pc..it booted fine but i get the memory error telling me i need 512mb at least to install Vista..so i installed it from out windows xp that was still on that machine and that went well.. I used as building files a allready lite made version of Vista..as i said..and in that installation i removed security centre and other anoying parts as balloon tips and so..but to my big suprise security centre was back and balloon tips too.. I must have selected a wrong build or so i dunno what i did to end up with this anoying version i created yesterday lol !!! It must be the wine...red red wineeeeeee Anyway starting all over againnnnn !!! I am compiling a new cdrom of vista now without the hatred parts in it..so i will format and reinstall xp first (i have made a ultra lite version of only 120mb) and after that Vista lite over it ..because i dont have the aswers to booting from cd to install vista with 370mb ram..as you all know...with 375mb ram Vista wont start moaning about the ram..but in my Satellite pro p3(1000mhz) with 375mb ram..the video steals 5 mb ram so it lreaves me with 370 and that seem to be the borderline for a pc with less than 512mb ram..375 is the borderline..less than that wont install vista without an error.. when one want to boot from cdrom for installation of windows vista !!!! By the way Extrabig....Beta Vlite to me in here is like the real thing so waiting for the final version is not an option cause many betas will come and the program gets better every time..read the changes in updates of Vlite.. My Badddd please dont fight my dear friends...i made so many preset files since i get to know Vlite that i by accident posted an empty file..i will correct that in 1 hour from now..because i will download the latest version of the great Vlite software and make a new preset file that i will post here the minute its done.i am thinking to make it small again this time with only english and no help files..the outlook will be removed and also the security centre ..balloon tips and other not really necessary build in software..media player 11 will be removed and moviemaker aswel..wmp10 works just fine on vista ultimate and i will copy my excisting moviemaker from winxp ..because an normal installation of moviemaker 2.1 wont be accepted by windows vista...installation ... But , when i copy the folder with all contens from the programfiles folder in windows xp(legitimeversion on my other pc) and paste in in Vista (anywhere) and run the exe file it runs just fine aswel..reasson i do it this way is because i get issues with vista video drivers when trying to run the original moviemaker shipt with vista..pffft..hope you understood what i try to explaine..my englishhhhhhh!!!! Hahaha i like people with humor...I know your not a bad person.. keep up the testing ...thats all i can say for now ..by the way ..will you keep the vista on that machine cause i went back to xp..but then a lite version i made with Nlite ..from the same makers....and i must say..speed over rules cuteness...Vista looks cute but Xp lite is faster and can look just as cute.. Its whats inside i always say and not the outside although i,m not sure that counts for females..what the hell am i talking about... Yea i rather have a free woman then one i should pay for..same pain in the.... latersssss !!!!
