  1. Take a look here. Try with registry part first, then other solutions. Cheers
  2. Are you Kidding? SP4 has been out a few years now. This guy is obvious spammer. Look at this thread and this one. Just look at his name, necrobumper. It tells what he/she will do. Mods should do something here. Cheers
  3. If you launch new setup.exe with some silent switch it should bypass it. If not, wait till next beta since I'll not replace original setup anymore. I found better way. Cheers
  4. OK, thanks for the logs. You are correct, problem still exist. I'll change this way completely for next beta. It will be not important if files are located on CD or HDD, but destination folder will always be needed. Until I fix this you can do what I already suggested. If you have files on CD select it from there and button will be grayed out. About KB948988: That is probably some problem with Microsoft Update. Check if registry entries are present for this hotfix in hotfixes.reg which is located in folder FILES/SETUP of your CD. Also, you could go to Office Update and see if it report that hotfix as needed. Also, I have read somewhere that Microsoft Update is showing KB945432 as needed but it is replaced with newer hotfix. Did you maybe write wrong hotfix here? Cheers
  5. Thanks. Where are the files you are selecting located? CD or HDD. To make it easier and better for me, select your setup file and close Slipstreamer. Copy paste text from log here. Thanks. Cheers
  6. New beta is out. Cheers
  7. Of course there is a way. There is a setting file in folder FILES\SETUP you your Office. Name of file is Setup.ini. Find line with LOCALCACHEDRIVE and just uncomment it. Remove the character ; in front of the line. Cheers
  8. No you can't. Take a look in my signature. Cheers
  9. Start from scratch, best thing to do. (Old version left a messed up nliteos.cmd file. New version didn't correct the messed up version. --> Start from scratch = fresh new, fixed nliteos.cmd file.) Ok sorry to say it didnt work. i now must add that the xp i start from is NLite version with SP2 and now i slipstream sp3 into it. the process itself seems to work ok, except for that msg i put here saying nlite.cmd cannot be found so isnt there a way to nlite a version which was already nlited? No there is not. You need to use XP CD that has not be nLited. Cheers
  10. Yeah I know, it's fixed for next beta. If you use your CD as source, button will be grayed out. Cheers
  11. If you are using 1.7 Beta 2 you should post in right topic. I know about the list problem and it's solved for next beta. And Office XP is currently not supported for Direct Slipstream, you can only use Admin Slipstream if your Office is Enterprise. Cheers
  12. This bug exist in nLite version you are using, upgrade to the latest and problem will be fixed. Cheers
  13. Try with re-installing .NetFramework 2.0. Cheers
  14. i have already copied all files from current xp_pro_sp2 cd (for you are these files dirty ? ) and (i am using nlite to crate new xp_cd ) You need to use source that have only service pack integrated or with no any service pack and that is not modified in any other way (Not used with nLite before, or other modifications). If this still does not help, search for file nl_proc.txt in XP files you are using and delete it. Cheers
  15. You can't get it back. You need to use XP Gold or with any SP integrated only, no any other changes. Use your original XP cd and start from scratch. Cheers
  16. Well, it can help. It seems that mine and benners direct method does not work on Office XP. I'm investigating why, so your offer can help. Cheers

    Problem with nlite

Maybe your key is blacklisted with SP3. You should call Microsoft to check it out. Cheers

    Problem with nlite

Are you doing slipstream on Vista? If yes, that is your problem. Cheers
  19. Well I tested my Office XP and direct slipstream don't work. If you have Enterprise edition of Office XP that you can slipstream it using admin method. Also, if you edition is Enterprise I would recommend that you use v1.6.2 Final, since this version could have bugs, but you are welcome to test it and with that you can help me to fix the problems. Cheers
  20. OK. By looking at the log something went wrong. It seems that cab were not successfully created. Or size of Office 2003 Standard is very small. Can you tell me the size of your original installation CD? I'll send you test version today, I need to make some small adjustments. CD key is necessary for applying the SP and hotfixes, but it will not be stored in MSI file and it will be asked upon install. Cheers
  21. OK, thanks for testing. I'll check out what you reported. And I think I know why chain install does not work. One question. Did slipstreamer crashed in any of your tests? I'm asking because of last line in your log. That should not be the last line in log for direct slipstream. And, yes I'm aware of the problem with the Creating file list necessary. Sometimes it happens to me and I'm not sure why, but I'll investigate and I'll try to fix it. If this step last longer then 1 minute just terminate program and try again. EDIT: Are you using clean source (unmodified in any way, nothing slipstreamed)? I just tested Off2003 and all hotfixes slipstreamed successfully. Did you enter CD key correctly? If you still can't get it work, I can PM you with test version which will keep error log of hotfixes so I can see what is the problem. OK Damian. Please wait till next beta and I'll add missing line. Cheers
