  1. You're flattering so much today! One reason I'm keeping guessing on NAV 2003 is that I don't have it on my PC. But, if you have 0x0409.ini in your original folder of NAV, you should find a line like this: /S /v/qn is the proper switch you use with setup.exe! So, I imagine you need it to be: setup.exe /s /v"/qn REBOOT=ReallySuppress" OR NAV.msi /qn REBOOT=ReallySuppress Other than that, you can check if those reg keys above are helpful, too. For NAV 2004 Pro, I might think in a solution for the problem you mentioned. THERE'S A WAY! But, time is limit!! I'll try, though.
  2. Do you have WinXP Home Edition?
  3. Can you install NAV using setup.exe and NAV.msi, together?
  4. I will. Thanks.
  5. Export these keys from your Registry:
  6. Yeah...this one is correct.
  7. This is the case where RunOnceEX is the best solution, IMO. Starting with small apps, leaving those big ones and antivirus to the end. One thing I'm not sure of is wether your server can be detected before the shell is completely loaded.
  8. I guess Microsoft should satisfy customer needs whatever they are! gamehead reminded me of that woman who inserted her VISA card in the floppy drive to send her card number to AOL!
  9. I think he/she wanted to say that NAV is one of the apps that would lose functionality under SP2! What I want to say is SP2 must be blacklisted by users who have similar apps.
  10. Or I should say that he could have all the patience to install WinXP, but how did he have all the patience AGAIN to write down those endless steps?!
  11. When I ordered SP1, I received it after 4 days only. Microsoft ships CDs from the nearest location to your country, not necessarily from the US. They shipped mine from Germany. And I've already ordered SP2.
  12. But when you first talked about this idea, I thought we would be able to add those reg keys in a HIVE already there in i386 and put cabbed files in i386, too. Was I dreaming?!
  13. LOL...funny...
  14. I just wondered how Windows could install them automatically while they were compressed!
  15. I imagine you've done the following steps: 1- Put all font files inside a folder. 2- Create a CMD file and put it inside that folder, too. The CMD contains this line: for %%i in (*.ttf) do makecab "%%i" del *.ttf /y 3- After running the CMD, all font files are cabbed (compressed), their extension changes from .ttf to .tt_, and the total size decreases by about 50%. Right? Where, in your unattended CD, did you put the cabbed files?
  16. Thanks for the info.
  17. This would be the best solution, if possible.
  18. Which version works best for you? Do beta versions work fine? Thanks.
  19. I've watched La Tomatino Festival on TV, today. They used 130 tons of tomatoes!
  20. A month back, I said it. It should work fine from hard disk. B) http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...ndpost&p=155704 And you only need MSI+CAB!
  21. Yet, I haven't taken the move to SP2. However, I suggest you read these articles, first: - SP2 Security Updates. - SP2 Hotfixes. - Programs that are known to experience a loss of functionality under SP2. - Troubleshooting Windows Firewall settings in SP2. The first two links should help you decide if you really need SP2. The last two links should help you pre-fix SP2. Till Microsoft does!
  22. This is a good link, really. To summarize: 1- Download & install Network Installation Wizard 2.1 (1.78 MB). 2- Execute switch /a on setup.exe to create an AIP. 3- Run Network Installation Wizard to customize MS Office 97. I hope Dragooon can post back so that we see wether it works.
  23. Isn't it hardware?
  24. @eran2004 winnt32.exe can't run from a DOS prompt. winnt.exe can. So, to be clear: use winnt32.exe under a Windows GUI & use winnt.exe under DOS. @RaveRod I understand what you mean. I just answered what was posted.
  25. I think r3p1v is clear enough.
