    CSRSS.EXE

first of all, welcome to MSFN , and enjoy your stay not your problem : according to http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...b;EN-US;q263201 Csrss.exe - You cannot end this process from Task Manager. This is the user-mode portion of the Win32 subsystem (with Win32.sys being the kernel-mode portion). Csrss stands for client/server run-time subsystem and is an essential subsystem that must be running at all times. Csrss is responsible for console windows, creating and/or deleting threads, and some parts of the 16-bit virtual MS-DOS environment. you might want to check that out ... Blackwar

  6. as i see , that is a Java Applet, to run that you need the latest Microsoft VM or Java from sun. You need to make sure you have either one of these installed (i would recommend Microsoft VM. to get the microsoft VM, go to http://www.windowsupdate.com , and it should be on there with one of the critical updates. to get the sun java version, go to http://java.sun.com Hope this helps, and if you have any more questions, feel free to ask Blackwar
  7. i don't really understand what part you don't get... I mean its pretty explicit, explains comprehensively... I never changed my boot screen before, but anyway, here goes First you need to download a bootscreen from a place like http://www.themexp.org , then you extract the file you got. From the file extracted, you should find an executable file, which is usually named to "ntoskrnl.exe" but sometimes they change it... what you do is you copy that, then navigate into your C:\Windows\system32 directory, where you will find a Ntoskrnl.exe in there also. You need to rename that one to something like "ntoskrnl'bak" to keep a backup, then paste the one you had copied.. By this time, you should have the ntoskrnl.exe you copied from the zip file in your C:\Windows\system32 directory, and the file name has to be ntoskrnl.exe. After you have done that, you just restart your computer and you should see your new boot screen.. I hope that helps, Blackwar

  12. All you need is a program like H-Monitor and your motherboard has to have the ability to read temperatures, fan speeds etc. Keep in mind : If your motherboard doesn't have that ability, then the program will display an incorrect value Blackwar

  16. well, if that didn't fix it , i would advise a repair installation of XP because hal.dll is the Hardware abstraction layer which is pretty important for the correct operation of your computer... What you need to do to run the repair is to run the XP setup regularly, and then it will find a copy of XP and will ask you if you want to repair, then select yes, and all should be well after that... I hope that helps, Blackwar
  17. Well, as it says on their site here : http://mustek.com/Download/driv_scanr/engl...english-xp.html , it says : so you need to do it in that order Blackwar

  22. well, when you upload to the www directory on your netfirms account, your file should be located at http://username.netfirms.com/filename.extension So, next time when you are going to post an image, and you uploaded say, me.jpg to your www directory, you will link to http://username.netfirms.com/me.jpg pretty simple P.S. : Moved to Software Support Blackwar
  23. well, i know that if you burn discs with DirectCD , you need to have directCD installed to be able to read those (that is if you didn't close the discs...) so i would give that a try first Btw, welcome to the boards and enjoy your stay Blackwar
