I don't know... if you want I'll do the tests, because, now, I have deleted the previous SOURCE directory (made by prep tool) because for me isn't useful, driver.cab is always recompressed. I'll do that test after I have solved (or discovered) why, if I run Windows Update, shows me 2 hotfix KB890830.
-
No it doesn't... In that moment the script copy some files into DRIVER.CAB working directory then recompress...
-
I have tested the last build release with February updates and I have had a strange issue. When I run Windows Update it shows 2 updates for KB890830. Anyone has this little issue?
-
Yes, it is clean. One thing I don't understand, why hfslip script recompress driver.cab if I don't add drivers? I have used hfslip prep tool because I test every version of the test build (and for corrections of my personalized windows cd), but if driver.cab will recompress is only a waste of time to use first the prep tool and after hfslip script. The only thing that I have added to source directory is $OEM$ directory, that's all.
-
Hi, tested the special version I have see that some files are copied in DRIVER.CAB sections, but it displays "0 files copied". Maybe you can understand better Text_new.rar
-
It wasn't supposed to be fixed. I just added more text output (titles). Can you give me the DRVINDEX.INF file that's in your SOURCE\I386 folder? Added as you wish I have uploaded the old one (before hfslip prep script) too. DRVINDEX_old.INF DRVINDEX.INF

been slipstreaming 888111 since it has been supported and i never had your results This results are after I have compressed DRIVER.CAB with the tool that Tomcat has released some days ago. HFSLIP prep.cmd Have you read my previous replies? The issue is ONLY when SP2.CAB doesn't exist because is already slipstreamed into DRIVER.CAB
-
Ok, I have tested once again with the latest build release, but the results are the same. I'll post the output messages that hfslip write, so, maybe, you can understand why this happen. (Can this happen if I slipstream, for example, KB888111 hotfix?) Text.rar
-
have anything to say about 0 files copied? which merging option did you use? Before, when I had tested the previous version of hfslip, instead of "0 files copied" there was some files... but today, I have used HFSLIP_prep.cmd before of hfslip-70211b.cmd. So I think is a new issue related to DRIVER.CAB that is been compressed before hfslip script. I have set this in HFANSWER.INI: DRIVERCOMP=A
-
Hi Tomcat, I have tested a bit this release, I have an issue (I think). I have used the tool for compact DRIVER.CAB before run hfslip script. When hfslip script goes to DRIVER.CAB repacking it shows this. There is an issue or not? The script recompacts driver.cab even if I haven't put any new driver (I think) HFSLIP.TXT
-
Hi Tomcat, have you forgot to upload the file?
-
Its the new update for roots certificate for windows xp Mmhhh I searched on Microsoft Website, but I don't find anything about it. I know there is an update on Windows Update, but I don't find any executable for updating. The only one I have found with Google was a old file for IE5 or Win2k.

Why do you slipstream this? rootsupd.exe This update msxml6-KB927977-esn-x86.exe is better to slipstream into Net framework package I'll post my log, you have some updates missing (for me, but not necessary) This file is automatically generated by HFSLIP HFSLIP is for personal use only Copyright(C) TommyP 2005-2007 ============================HOW TO REPORT A PROBLEM============================ If running into problems, refer to http://hfslip.org/support.html HFSLIP support forum: http://msfn.org/board/index.php?showforum=129 =============================================================================== HFSLIP Version - 70208a HFSLIP Path - D:\HFSLIP\ OS in SOURCESS - XP SP2 Italiano Drivers - DRIVER.CAB Updated CD Install Path - Default CDTAG - WIN51 =============================================================================== Files in your FIX folder: WINNT.SIF Files in your HF folder: HMTCDWizard_ITA.exe IE7-KB929969-WindowsXP-x86-ita.exe IE7-WindowsXP-x86-ita.exe msxml2sp6-kb887606-x86-ita.exe msxml4-KB927978-ita.exe Windows-KB909520-v1.000-x86-ITA.exe WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86.exe WindowsMedia-KB911564-x86-ITA.exe WindowsMedia6-KB925398-x86-ITA.exe WindowsRightsManagementServicesSP2-KB917275-Client-ITA-x86.exe WindowsUpdateAgent20-x86.exe WindowsXP-KB873339-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB885626-v2-x86-ita.exe WindowsXP-KB885836-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB886185-x86-ita.exe WindowsXP-KB887472-x86-ita.exe WindowsXP-KB888111-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB888302-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB890859-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB891781-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB893756-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB896256-v4-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB896344-v2-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB896358-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB896423-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB896424-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB896428-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB898461-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB899587-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB899591-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB900485-v2-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB900725-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB901017-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB901190-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB901214-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB902845-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB904706-v2-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB904942-v2-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB905414-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB905749-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB908519-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB908531-v2-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB910437-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB911280-v2-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB911562-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB911927-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB912817-v2-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB912919-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB913580-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB914388-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB914389-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB914440-v12-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB915865-v11-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB916595-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB916846-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB917021-v3-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB917422-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB917537-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB917730-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB917953-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB918005-v4-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB918093-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB918439-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB918997-v6-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB919007-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB920213-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB920342-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB920670-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB920683-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB920685-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB920872-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB921398-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB922582-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB922616-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB922819-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB923191-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB923414-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB923694-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB923789-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB923980-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB924191-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB924270-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB925876-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB926247-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB926255-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-KB931836-x86-ITA.exe WindowsXP-Windows2000-Script56-KB917344-x86-ita.exe msxml2.msi Files in your HFCABS folder: Apr2005_d3dx9_25_x86.cab Apr2006_d3dx9_30_x86.cab Apr2006_XACT_x86.cab Apr2006_xinput_x86.cab Aug2005_d3dx9_27_x86.cab AUG2006_XACT_x86.cab AUG2006_xinput_x86.cab Dec2005_d3dx9_28_x86.cab DEC2006_d3dx10_00_x86.cab DEC2006_d3dx9_32_x86.cab DEC2006_XACT_x86.cab Feb2005_d3dx9_24_x86.cab Feb2006_d3dx9_29_x86.cab Feb2006_XACT_x86.cab FEB2007_XACT_x86.cab IUCTL.CAB Jun2005_d3dx9_26_x86.cab JUN2006_XACT_x86.cab LegitCheckControl.cab MUWEB_SITE.CAB Oct2005_xinput_x86.cab OCT2006_d3dx9_31_x86.cab OCT2006_XACT_x86.cab OCT2006_xinput_x86.cab OGAControl.cab OPUC4.CAB Files in your HFSVCPACK folder: Custom.cmd DNF11.exe DNF20.exe Registry.reg Files in your HFSVCPACK_SW folder: CalcPlus_ITA.msi msdrmclient.msi UPHClean-Setup.msi Files in your HFGUIRUNONCE folder: DNF30.exe WindowsDefender.msi _GuiRunOnce.cmd Files in your HFTOOLS folder: cmdow.exe EXTRACT.EXE HFANSWER.INI modifyPE.exe MSICabExtract.exe MSICabExtract.txt Files in your HFEXPERT folder: D:\HFSLIP\HFEXPERT\WIN\System32\Wpa.dbl =============================================================================== HFSLIP run time: 24m07s With this I haven't any error.

Hi Tomcat I've a question for you, you have written this: This means that, if I use Windows XP SP2, I should remove the old variable INCWMPCSKIN and replace it with the new INCALLSKINS? Or INCALLSKINS has an highest priority than INCWMPCSKIN?

http://users.telenet.be/tc76/hfslip/test/hfslip-70203a.zip Simply replace the latest character "b" with an "a".

I'm not using Windows 2000 but Windows XP. I've attached the log of hfslip. P.s. The log doesn't show what files are in HFGUIRUNONCE. Maybe is better to implement that it show them. HFSLIP.TXT
-
Yes I mean C:\ (the defaults for most of installations), if you want to create for examples C:\Custom, with HFEXPERT it's impossible. That's all
-
I have put WindowsDefender.msi in HFSVCPACK_SW but Windows doesn't install it at T-13. Is it an HFSLIP issue or Windows Defender can't be installed at T-13?
-
No. I think you should read about the many features HFEXPERT has to offer. It works perfectly for me. Follow the above link. It doesn't work as $OEM$ directory do, it works only with ProgramFiles and Windows directory. If you want to create a directory as "Custom" in SystemDrive, you cannot do it with HFEXPERT directory!
-
The HFEXPERT doesn't work as Tomcat said!!! The only way, is to put a $OEM$ directory in SOURCE directory!!! Is the only way!
-
I have found a way, to slipstream the $OEM$, if you create a $OEM$ directory in SOURCE directory, it will be slipstreamed in SOURCESS automatically. Remember to set, in WINNT.SIF, OemPreinstall=Yes
-
You can put them in HFSVCPACK directory... the results is the same.
