I'm trying to delete a shortcut that i put in $Docs\all users\desktop of my UA CD 'IF' the program isn't installed . i know IF EXIST command works fine, but could anyone tell me opposite of that? IF not exist "$Progs\emule" DEL /S /Q "$docs\all users\desktop\emule.lnk" IF not exist "$Progs\emule" DEL /S /Q "$docs\all users\desktop\Uninstall emule.lnk" i tried this and i think i got it wrong.. btw, would the .cmd handle spaces between path fine?? tia.

i have/had same problem, just ignored it and tried it on new pc, it shows correctly

one dumb question i got. when using method2 , what happens to the drivers? today i installed a pc w/ m2, and drivers were perfectly installed, but later i wanted to add a Wi-Fi card to the machine.. i plugged it in, and PC didn't have drivers for it (card is supported in the DP) .. so when using M2 , the drivers are just recognized in the setup mode only? and it will be useless when you want to add add-ins later on?

I did edit shrink.ini file and edited the ver. # and name. but i did get 'office is already shrunk' message, but it worked fine for me good luck ya'll , keep trying and you'll get it.

bash i'm having portcls.sys error w/ dell 4700 . hm... what could be the problem for this dreaded error.. it seems like i have to drop out sound DP for now as well

used the 7zscS. method and it worked! at least on the computer i did slip stream.. let's see if the .exe file installation works on my VMware and other computers. *rubs hands*.. lol i hope this is beginning of some light for me in this topic.

what does those small .exe file w/ smiley face supposed to do anyway?

after running 7zscb.exe .. my office2003.exe becomes 270KB . and gives me unspecified error. da heck ?

sorry i don't have any highly tech-answers, but just a suggestion to all who want to help bash. it'd be great to test this pack on very 'CLEAN' winxp cd w/out any programs or add-ons or nlite , at first so we know it's not other things that cause this error and it'd always help to list your main specs (mainboard,CPU,RAM,VideoCard, and any other MASSSTORAGE cards or add-ons) i'm going to make my cd soon using two methods.. but bash, i can't get method1 to work (stops at process one) (using 5.02.7)

method2. has been working fine for me .. but i tested it in VMware today i tested it in real pc, and it shows file ntkrnlnp.exe could not be loaded. error code is 7 hmm.. maybe bad media?

yeah it did work for me with 5.02 base but i removed all the codes that were supposed to be inputed to txtsetup.sif after that, since 5.02.5 or so, i didn't have to include MAss storage to get rest of it working.

yeah. no nlite/no ryan setup has been working fine for me since BASE 5.02 (With mass storage) and since 5.02.4 or so . with out Mass Storage i use method 2 bash, you so fine!

looking forward to it! i've given up this project for now.. yesterday, i just tried my .exe file .. and SETUP worked! i uninstalled it, and tried it again.. it didn't work .. unless i can know exactly what the problem is, i can't hang on this forever

and one more question. does it matter where the .MST file was created from ? i created .MST in my main PC .. (bloated w/ softwares) and just use that .mst in other clean computer.. i don't think it's much of a problem.

ok here's my problem i install a clean winxp sp2 no nlite w/ .NET 1.1 w/ hotfix included by astalavista. copy the files from OXP SP3 cd i made along w/ a .cmd file and .mst file shrunk it, it worked on that PC, but it doesn't work when i test it on other pc. i made the order so OXP installs right after .NET 1.1 (to make a same environment as the original pc) i haven't tried to change the version.. it was different so after i change shrink.ini . you telling me i have to reinstall windows to get it to work? (now shrink pauses if i tried to shrink)

there was two 'RUN' at the oxp_sp3.exe line .. but i corrected it one question. it seems that extraction of oxp_sp3.exe takes process, but before it's able to run .cmd line inside the .exe file , RunonceEX.cmd processes next line.. which is to install sun JAVA. is there any way to set more time to take in this .vbs file? or any other way for the windows to wait until officexp install is complete? tia

one more thing. Method 2 your setup adds Sound and Graphic control panel .cmd in [GUIRUNONCE] under winnt.sif well those files aren't copied to the correct folder ($OEM$/$1/DP)

m2 . and thanks for your help.. i figured out what the problem was w/ my slimed oxp .. doing all the testing at this moment.. hopefully it'll work

yeah, the 'OEM' folder is supposed to be there hmm, i thought win setup looks for all subdirectories inside a .7z file .. that was the whole purpose of method 2 maybe not.. i'm no expert. *to bash.. yeah it was the lack of MASS Storage DP that caused that error.. inserted massstorage dp and setup works now any fix to that would be great thanks

i think you don't add anything to winnt.sif when using method2 you just repack .7z archieve with your custom driver in it. i personally removed Creative sound card drv and repacked it *btw.. one problem.. i tried to update.. and it gave me error there's no V5022.cmd file.. i manually had to change the code in Change.cmd and erase the '2' so it was %NV%=V502 and in method two.. i just got error in setupmode with VPC 'aliide.sys cannot be found. ' any idea bash? *i didn't put mass storage drv in there .. don't need it* could this be problem/?
