sorry to inform, the computer just rebooted itself (no warning, no error msg)
-
Hotfix applied - hoping for the best... is there any hardware failure I should be worry about?
-
I'm not sure what hot-plugging actually means, but I found this hotfix & waiting for MS to sent it over. just to clearify things, the problem occurs on my LG S1 Notebook & yes it has ATI Readon X1600 PCI-Express... if I understand correctly, this is caused by either the Graphic Card (maybe drivers?!) or a power supply issue?

Hi, I'm expiriencing a lot of BSODs lately, with many other crashed that don't even get to a BSOD but to a system halt (mostly in a black screen). here is the latest BSOD Technical Information: stop: 0x00000124 (0x00000000, 0x8500C039, 0xF2000040, 0x00000800) can any1 help me solve this?
-
of course, even more than one of them... actually, after cleaning (somehow) the computer from malicious things - I managed to install the SP1!!!! all problems are solved...

Hi, I removed Vista SP1 Beta (which was to expire in a few days), in order to install the RMT. the uninstallation went well, I even rebooted... but after last nights reboot, I have no network (neither LAN nor WLAN). the diagnostic told me to "Start Wireless Service" - which couldn't be started. I check the device manager & removed the WAN Miniport (netcfg -e -u ms_sstpminiport). after a reboot, I have: The dependency service or group filed to start I can't find any relevant log in the event viewer... I even tried to re-install Vista SP1 (I donwloaded it & burned it on a CD), but it fails with: An internal error occured while installing the service pack. Error code: 0x80070002. See http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=101139 for details. can any1 help me with this?

Hi, I'm trying to burn a Data DVD. I've tried earlier versions as well as 8.3.2.1 freshly installed. I'm getting an "Internal Target Failure" every time. it doesn't happen with the full version...
-
Thanks cluberti. Long story short, I'll take that as: Enterprise = Business So I'll stay with mine, until I get my Ultimate.
-
Are you sure about that? Look at the picture take 2 seconds ago, on my Notebook (which I'm using to write this message):
-
Start the installation for each package (micro and lite) and you will find the answer. I figured that. Why isn't a place to read before download, so users could decide what's best for them...
-
Hi, I've seen this page: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/...ons/choose.mspx for Vista Version Comparison. Where (if) does the Enterprise Version fits in?
-
Sorry for this newbies question, but: Where can I find the feature list for each package (list of what each contains)?
-
Well, back to regular black hibernate (I'm not sure why is did turn off the machine)
-
Now this is funny: Hibernates does a nice Black Screen, but the computer does not turn off - it immediately turns on (as if it was a restart, but programs are still running)
-
I won't don't worry. I'll just wait for Culberti, who claims to have this progress bar... (this is the weird part)
-
Yes. Yes. This is more than weird...
-
correct, this is a long discussion. all of you just jumped in at the end... I'm quite sure Culberti stated that it does show a certain screen: I have 2.5GB of ram, this issue also happened on the same machine with 1GB (before upgrading). & no, there are no Memory issues - tested already...
-
First time I hear this... The Hibernate does finish this is totally about the progress bar...
-
Sorry, but this wasn't very helpfull to the discussion. I'm not planning to site & wait for a solution, because that's the whole idea behind Helping & Sharing (see some open-source for reference). Besides, if no one knows about this problem I doubt it would be fixed by itself in SP1. I take this forum very seriously & the people helping here will know what to do with it when fix/problem is found...

Hi, after the long waited Format - I did it. The results are as bad as expected. I Formatted & reInstalled Vista Enterprice x32. I did a first Restart, just to check every thing is OK, I didn't install any updates, not even LAN Drivers. Hibernate = BLACK. I have now just installed the needed LAN Drivers, & going forward to Windows Update...
-
I thought this would be an easy task, but first let me state this: 1. I have another PC (not notebook) with Vista with the same problem. 2. neither of these 2 installation had a working progress bar when hibernating. I'm guess this must be something from MS. NOD32 was a good guess since it is installed in both computers... To your request, I did remove every non-MS service & startup item (I also tried a Diagnostic Boot), but after I restarted I tried to Hibernate but could not start the Dump process. (on a regular boot it works fine) any minimum requirements that I should know of...?
-
I just removed it completely - No Change... (can I put it back?)
