Lucius Snow
Hello all,I'm trying to make my first XP CD from a slipstreaming composed by a XP (SP1 integrated) CD + the SP2 file and to make it unattended. The slipstreaming seems to have worked ok since i had no error message. Then, i created an unattended.txt file which is on the root of the CD. Also, there're winnt.sif and winnt32.sif which are both indentical to the unattended.txt and set in \i386.My CD boots up, the install loads normally but shortly after it prompts to ask a floppy "named CD ROM Windows XP Professionnal" Here is my file :;SetupMgrTag[Data] AutoPartition=0 MsDosInitiated="0" UnattendedInstall="Yes" AutomaticUpdates=yes[unattended] UnattendMode=FullUnattended OemSkipEula=Yes OemPreinstall=Yes OemFilesPath="..\$OEM$" OemPnPDriversPath="Drivers\ac97;Drivers\nvaudio;Drivers\nvvideo;\Drivers\soundmax" TargetPath=\WINDOWS UnattendSwitch=Yes DriverSigningPolicy=Ignore WaitForReboot=No CrashDumpSetting=0 DisableDynamicUpdates=Yes KeyboardLayout="French"[GuiUnattended] AdminPassword="admin" EncryptedAdminPassword=NO OEMSkipRegional=1 TimeZone=105 OemSkipWelcome=1[GuiRunOnce] "%systemdrive%\Apps\runonce.bat"[userData] ProductID=XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX FullName="Client" OrgName="/" ComputerName=PC[TapiLocation] CountryCode=33 Dialing=Tone[RegionalSettings] LanguageGroup=1[branding] BrandIEUsingUnattended=Yes[WindowsFirewall] Profiles=WindowsFirewall.TurnOffFirewall[WindowsFirewall.TurnOffFirewall] Mode=0 Home_Page=http://www.google.fr[Proxy] Proxy_Enable=0 Use_Same_Proxy=1[identification] JoinWorkgroup=TRAVAIL[Networking] InstallDefaultComponents=Yes[Components] msmsgs=offI can't go forward this. Any ideas ?Thank you very much.
aknott
it 's because you missed some files in the root folder of your cdthose :-win51-WIN51ip-WIN51ip.SP1 if you slipstreamed the SP1-WIN51ip.SP2 if you slipstreamed the SP2and if you slipstreamed a SP2 over a cd splipstremed by SP1 you need bothbut regards of your message it asks you for the CD ROM Windows XP Professionnal without any SP mentionned so it must be the WIN51.ip
Lucius Snow
Merci beaucoup, it works now However i've got a new problem (probably not the last one, i'm afraid ), the install can't copy the RAID drivers. The F6 install works fine, it does copy the files loaded from the floppy, then the install continues ... i create a new partition, format it in NTFS and so the problem occurs at the first files copy (which are the RAID drivers). I have to ignore and to skip then. However, after that, the usual normal files from the CD copy properly. It only concerns the RAID drivers. Strange because they could be loaded just before. By the way, it's a Promise Fasttrack 378 (onboard an Asus P4C800-E Deluxe).I haven't put these drivers on the CD and create the stuff to load them automaticaly because i'll use this CD on several different machines. So i must keep the destination install directory free since i'll install Windows on any kind of controller and hard drive.Any help appreciated. Thanks for your patience
Lucius Snow
I've just repeated the same operation from a basic XP+SP1 CD (with no unattended) and it worked. The RAID drivers files could get copied. So the problem has something to do either with my unattended file or the slipstreaming / the SP2.Any ideas ? Thank you. It seems problems occured with SP2 though so i'm not sure it'll work properly. I'll give a try and let you know in Ryan's thread.

mlu
@allIf you had slipstreamed sp1a before sp2, you can delete win51ip(ic).sp1, spnotes.htm, sp1.cab, sp1.cat. That's all.
Alanoll
I am XP_OEM_SP1 -custom. He is work, I did slipstreame XP_SP2 no workWIN51,WIN51IP,win51ip.SP1,win51ip.SP2 - OKno BOOT WITH cd???when you reburn it, you have to tell it to be a bootable CD. Look around the web for a slipstream guide.http://www.msfn.org/articles.php?action=show&showarticle=49The F6 RAID drivers won't work with a WINNT.SIF file. It's something with the setup mechanism. You have to integrate the drivers somehow if you need them.
