Is Zone Alarm for Vista Good? and safe to use?

Featured Replies

Ive never used ZoneAlarm since i was in highschool seeing some critical bugs in the product.

but i can tell you one thing, the Kaspersky Firewall included in KIS is so much more powerfull than the previous versions and i guess among the current avaliable firewalls it will get in the top3 list of comparisons list.

Due to the numerous issues that ZoneAlarm has been causing in the past and still continues to cause, I have recommended that people avoid it completely. One of the worst things it does is slow down the speed of your Internet browsing/downloading.

It appears that the latest ZoneAlarm release is listed as Vista-compatible. However, since Checkpoint purchased ZoneLabs, I've not recommended their software to anyone - it's buggy, slow, and not cheap. If you want to try the ZoneAlarm software and post here if it's any better than past releases, that'd be pretty useful. However, I don't think you'll find anyone who's installed it yet here, as they're pretty much hands-off right now due to the lack of quality in their previous releases over the last year or so.
