iceangel89 Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 Should i do Windows Updates regularly or not. i used to do that but stoped since i feel it slows down the PC. but dunno if i am opening my PC to hackers. i use a Firewall(Comodo) & AntiVirus(Avast! 4.7).
Tarun Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 It's a great idea to update, as you will help secure your system against exploits that Microsoft has patched.Should you feel your system is slowing down, I would recommend defragging your system. You can use the built-in Windows defragger or even a freeware defrag utility. AusLogics Disk Defrag is a nice freeware defrag utility, and you should also use PageDefrag to defragment your pagefile.
cleveaires Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 yeah updating is very crucial to ensure your computer is safe from threats. do monthly check up. these includes :1)clear cache files ( click run dialog box and type "prefetch" and delete all files inside there)2)run disk clean up utilities3)run defragmentation4)do ad/spyware checking hopes that helps.
