I get this runtime error in the middel of the install.

first i thought it might be the app thats causing the error, but after removing or move the app to another place , another app gives the error.

I use vista by the way.

Works fine, when select only a few apps.

I attached a movie of the error.

Is your copy of office an enterprise copy? 'cause there is a better way to install it silently.

I have the same error with the install of office 2007 pro enterprise.

Installing it silently by using a msp created with setup.exe /admin.

I use Vista Ultimate and WPI 6.

AFTER you tell me which method you are using to run WPI.

I use sources-folder methode with setupcomplete.cmd.

Updates in Vista Ultimate are integrated with WAIK or Vista Update Integrator 0.8.1.3 Beta.

Tried both methodes to integrate the updates, same error by executing WPI and installing Office 2007.

I just ran Vista ultimate and WPI choosing only Office 2007 and no issues here.

Hmm, maybe a problem with a Vista-update which is integrated in my source?

Have you integrated Vista-updates?

Tried an installation only with Office 2007 - same error...

But I remember that I had the same problem with WinXP und WPI v5.4 caused by the WinXp-update KB931768 (for IE7), which was integrated with nLite. After disabling this update und manual install at the end of the unattended installation there was no more problem.

I'll make a new Vista-DVD without the KB933566 (it's like the KB931768 for XP) and try it.

New test without KB933566 (IE-Update). Now it's o.K., no more error

At the first test I recognized that Vista Update Integrator slipped the KB933566 though I didn't select it. Don't know why, maybe a problem of Vista Update Integrator

With the KB931768 (older IE-Update, the newer ist the KB933566) same problem.

Now I slip all updates except the KB933566 and the installation works without any problems. The KB933566 will be installed from WPI at the end of the installation with the silent options /quiet /norestart.

This was NOT the enterpirse version.

I used the old office with an XML file to install, now i use enterprise with a UNATTENDED.MSP

Problem solved, you can also put office at the end of your wpi to avoid problems like this.
