Glenn9999
I was looking at some documentation for System Restore on the Microsoft site and was trying to program something for Windows ME, but didn't find the DLL I was using (SRCLIENT.DLL) on the system anywhere. Does anyone know what general package this comes in (an option maybe that wasn't selected on install, or a downloadable package?), or if the documentation might be misleading me and SRCLIENT.DLL shouldn't exist on Windows ME? MDGx
There is no SRCLIENT.DLL file on my WinME setup CD-ROM [u.S. English edition].But XP has such file [found as SRCLIENT.DL_ in the \I386 subfolder] on the WinXP setup CD-ROM.Obviously, the XP file won't work with Win9x OSes.So maybe the M$ documentation refers to the WinXP System Restore. [?]Hope This Helps [HTH]
Glenn9999
So maybe the M$ documentation refers to the WinXP System Restore. [?]Nope. Refers to WinME, WinXP, and Vista. Could be that they were mistaken? Don't know for sure.http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa378941.aspx

erpdude8
Nope. Refers to WinME, WinXP, and Vista. Could be that they were mistaken?Certainly.documentation on the MSFN site about system restore is inaccurate. the SrClient.dll is not needed under WinME. so, the SRCLIENT.DLL file is for XP and Vista only Edited July 31, 2007 by erpdude8
