Bigbrit
I did not reply to your message, this was a new post and is FYI only.I will explain, Windows XP updates caused a SVCHOST error after they installed themselves and the machine rebooted. :hello:
Madhits45
ohh ok. Is it just a pop up error? Like svchost has caused a problem with bla bla.Something like that?
Bigbrit
Yeh, a whole bunch of numbers etc. Microsoft is obviously not checking their updates very wellFirst there was the ANI update and Realtek Control Panel and now this, all in the space of two weeks.I can hardly wait until "patch Tuesday" in May.Good luck with your problem. John:D
Our school district has had many of these. While I have been unable to find word one about it on Microsoft's site, I did find this article:http://www.kb.ucla.edu/articles/svchostexe...plication-errorThis article includes a longer version of the fix which almost always works (the short, easy fix above is not always succesful). I've only had to reformat and reinstall one stubborn machine so far. Edited April 19, 2007 by John:D
