weEvil Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 I have a 128mb usb stick. I'd like to install windows from it.Instead of waiting for the CD to erase, write, and then istall. USB has faster tranfer rate. No?What would be the fastest method of getting the installation files to use the USB? Just extract the .iso to it? What would I do for the boot sector? And yes, my PC is capable of booting from USB. Acronis does it, but it also "burns" the bootable app directly to the USB.

Ponch Posted April 16, 2007 Posted April 16, 2007 Search for "usb".Thanks. That helps alot.I didn't know what it was called.[/sarcasm]I did a search on "usb" (I did) and found seven thread relevant to your question and this on the first page only. I' thought you'd be interrested in those answers instead of criticize mine.
