mosaddique Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 One of my systems requires activation upon re-install.1. Can I save my Wpa.* files and HFSLIP them?2. In which HFSLIP directory should I put the Wpa.* files?3. Would this maintain my activation status?4. If the answer to the above is no then, can I still manually copy my Wpa.* files into the System32 folder?
tommyp Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 You can slipstream your system32 files as stated in this link.
mosaddique Posted April 15, 2007 Author Posted April 15, 2007 Thank you for quick response tommyp.I did check there first. however, one it does not mention anything specific about activation files in.Secondly it said "New entries are created in TXTSETUP.SIF and DOSNET.INF so only use this for NEW binaries."This confused me as the files are not new binaries.I will try it and see if it works at some point in time when the PC is free.
