There was a time when this forum was just about Gape's service pack but now there are zillions of service packs emerging - time to rename the forum, methinks, to reflect its more extensive nature.

That is not a bad idea but it shouldn't be Win98SE Service Packs it should be something like Windows 98 Unofficial Mods or Unofficial Updates...

I believe there is no difference between this subforum and its parent. Both forums should be merged.

there is a difference the 9x forum is for general 9x problems where as the u98sp forum is about modifying 9x and the problems associatied with it

The distinction isn't as clear-cut as that...
