um..problem with my usb files

i tried to move some files from my USB to on HD, when i tried to move it, it says that i have the same name folder, and ask me if to replace, i clicked yes, but in the middle, i realized something and clicked cancel, now that's just great........the file on my USB is GONE! and the folder im pasting it onto doesn't have it as well! THOSE FILE R REALLY IMPORTANT I NEED THEM BACK! now is there anyway to get the file back??? if so tell me ASAP PLZ!!!

Use either FinalData, R-Studio or Runtime GetDataBack to recover the data on your flash drive. As long as you haven't copied any files to it since then the files should be recoverable. Also, the files you were copying from your flash drive in the first place should not have disappeared after you clicked Cancel. Did you try unplugging it then back in to make sure they didn't just vanish temporarily for some reason?

Either way, none of the software I mentioned is freeware but you should be able to run them under a trial period. They are the only programs I know of that will scan such a device thoroughly enough to give you results.

That's exactly the reason why I never "Cut and Paste". Always use "Copy"! After that you can delete the files as you please.
