Got my Vista Ultimate from Intel. Got a 64 and 32 bit copy. Each version has its own key. So can i install the 32 bit and 64 bit on different computers?

Alright thanks dude. IS there any special reason they did this? From what ive read the 32bit keys work on the 64 bit. Thats why i didnt know if my copys were diffrent.

NO

You can install EITHER 32 bit or 64 bit. NOT BOTH. If you install on both, you will have activation problems.

Oh sorry - misread it.

As long as you have seperate keys - then yes. It'll be fine!

Usually, you can tell from the packaging and media. If it's the snazzy Vista box, hologram'ed media, and a product key inside on the case, it's retail. OEM usually doesn't come with anything but a COA sticker and media.

I'm assuming you got the retailedge bundle like me....

They're BOTH valid keys, regardless of the version you install (I used the 64-bit key on my 32-bit version, and vice versa)...

The tally for me? Two free Vista Ultimates, and a free Vista Business... And a nice Home Server ;)
