nitroshift
I just received a Windows XP Media Center keyboard from a friend abroad, but it came without the infrared receiver. How can I make it work on Windows XP Professional? Edited February 19, 2007 by nitroshift
ripken204
well how does it plug in? does it need a receiver? i would be p***ed off if i bought it and it came with no way of connecting it to my pc, you might have to yell at the store that sold it to you.. nitroshift
ripken, I was talking about this: http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseand...ls.aspx?pid=038 It connects to the pc via IR.
ripken204
...look at the bottom right of that page, that kinda sucks, so i guess you'll need to buy the receiver. and by reading the requirements it says that you need Vista or MCE 2005. but im sure that there is a driver that will make it work on xp, ill try to look around. nitroshift
Thanks again ripken. I'm at work now but when I get back home I'll try to see if it works with a generic IR receiver. As for the beer, you are always welcome to come over (and have plenty of beers )
