XIII Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 I have been using nLite/RyanVM for quite some time, but now I really hesitate to perform another clean Windows install.Since I've upgraded WMP to WMP11 I have bought several DRM-protected music tracks. Unlike WMP9/10, WMP11 is not able to backup/restore licenses (this did the trick for a clean install in the past). This means I would loose the licenses for all my bought tracks. Or is there a way to save the DRM licenses for my PC after all? (I don't dare to try whether just storing everything in "C:\Document and Settings\All users\DRM" will do). What can I do?
hulkviper Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 Why not try FairUse4WM?It will help you with WM files See your personal message inbox
XIII Posted February 17, 2007 Author Posted February 17, 2007 I have heard about fairuse4wm, but I would rather keep my original files (since I have paid for them). How can I do that? (if at all)
nuhi Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 You would get the answer much faster in the appropriate forum, moving it.It was some Application Data folders or something, anyway someone will know or do some searching on the net, I'm sure it's a well known subject.
Sonic Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 In WMP, there is an option to backup your license to My Documents. On the new system, re-use the utility to retsore license and plya your drm files.

Sonic Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 Oups, too fast reading your post ... sorry ... I don't know for WMP11
