bledd
if you go to desktop, right click, properties, appearance, does it let you select Luna from there? (under 'windows and buttons') Edited February 15, 2007 by bledd
banshee28
if you go to desktop, right click, properties, appearance, does it let you select Luna from there? (under 'windows and buttons')I am not at the pc now, so I will check. I remember locating the theme itself and clicking it, which changed the background, but not the windows. I dont think it was listed as luna in the drop down either....I will verify shortly......
banshee28
if you go to desktop, right click, properties, appearance, does it let you select Luna from there? (under 'windows and buttons')Negative. I only have classic to choose from. I copied shellstyle.dll from another pc, rebooted and still same problem. However, I was able to fix the add\rem programs error by coping the new shellstyle.dll???When I browse to the themes folder and double click on the Luna theme, the background is correct, but the rest does not change

rajesh.kumar
KB920342 doesnt allow themes to activate if slipstreamed. i manually tested many times to identify the problem is with this update. and now eliminated that fix from slipstreaming and works fine now. check whether ur fixes contain this update. banshee28
KB920342 doesnt allow themes to activate if slipstreamed. i manually tested many times to identify the problem is with this update. and now eliminated that fix from slipstreaming and works fine now. check whether ur fixes contain this update.I don't see that KB listed for the update pack I used (2.1.5). And of course now windows does not have a quick way to remove it since its slipstreamed if it was ever installed? Is there a way to remove this without re-building everything again? banshee28
lt looks like your uxtheme.dll is not patched. try lookin for a patcher on google .I downloaded Uxtheme Multi-patcher 5.0 and UXTheme Patch For Windows XP SP2 Final. Both did not seem to work. I think its something else since I cant even get the default xp themes to work, much less 3rd party???
