XibaD
Hi!Well, I have a problem with HFSLIP final. The fact is that I slipstream all the hotfixes that are in the dinamic list (as you say in HFSLIP webpage) and everything is ok. BUT when I try to install it in VMWARE, the installation hangs out at the step registering components - sorry It's a direct translation of the spanish name - near the end of the installation (I use Windows 2000 classic installation style). The only thing that I do past the HFSLIP slipstream is make an unnattended installation with nlite. Users, CDkey, workgroup, etc...Here is the list of files that I slipstream:Files in your FIX folder:sfcfiles.dl_Files in your HF folder:HMTCDWizard_ESN.exemp10setup.exemsxml2sp6-kb887606-x86-esn.exemsxml4-KB927978-esn.exemsxml6-KB927977-esn-x86.exeWindows-KB890830-V1.24.exeWindows-KB909520-v1.000-x86-ESN.exeWindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86.exeWindowsMedia-KB911564-x86-ESN.exeWindowsMedia10-KB917734-x86-ESN.exeWindowsMedia6-KB925398-x86-ESN.exeWindowsRightsManagementServicesSP2-KB917275-Client-ESN-x86.exeWindowsUpdateAgent20-x86.exeWindowsXP-KB873339-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB885626-v2-x86-esn.exeWindowsXP-KB885836-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB886185-x86-esn.exeWindowsXP-KB887472-x86-esn.exeWindowsXP-KB888302-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB890859-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB891781-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB893756-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB896344-v2-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB896358-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB896423-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB896424-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB896428-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB898461-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB899587-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB899591-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB900485-v2-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB900725-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB901017-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB901190-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB901214-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB904706-v2-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB904942-v2-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB905414-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB905474-ENU-x86.exeWindowsXP-KB905749-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB908519-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB908531-v2-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB910437-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB911280-v2-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB911562-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB911927-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB912817-v2-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB912919-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB913580-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB914388-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB914389-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB914440-v12-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB916595-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB917422-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB917537-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB917953-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB918439-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB919007-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB920213-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB920342-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB920670-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB920683-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB920685-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB920872-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB921398-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB922582-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB922616-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB922819-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB923191-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB923414-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB923689-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB923694-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB923980-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB924191-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB924270-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB925454-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB925876-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB926247-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB926255-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB928388-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB929969-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-Windows2000-Script56-KB917344-x86-esn.exewmfdist95.exemsxml2.msiUPHClean-Setup.msiFiles in your HFCABS folder:Apr2005_d3dx9_25_x86.cabApr2006_d3dx9_30_x86.cabApr2006_XACT_x86.cabApr2006_xinput_x86.cabAug2005_d3dx9_27_x86.cabAUG2006_XACT_x86.cabAUG2006_xinput_x86.cabDec2005_d3dx9_28_x86.cabDEC2006_d3dx10_00_x86.cabDEC2006_d3dx9_32_x86.cabDEC2006_XACT_x86.cabFeb2005_d3dx9_24_x86.cabFeb2006_d3dx9_29_x86.cabFeb2006_XACT_x86.cabIUCTL.CABJun2005_d3dx9_26_x86.cabJUN2006_XACT_x86.cabLegitCheckControl.cabMUWEB_SITE.CABOct2005_xinput_x86.cabOCT2006_d3dx9_31_x86.cabOCT2006_XACT_x86.cabOCT2006_xinput_x86.cabOGAControl.cabOPUC4.CABswflash.cabFiles in your HFSVCPACK folder:cmdhrcp.regDNF11.exeDNF20.exejre6.exeFiles in your HFSVCPACK_SW folder:Files in your HFTOOLS folder:modifyPE.exeMSICabExtract.exereg.exeThanks in advance for the help
Tomcat76
"Registering components" is correct. The installation of .NET 2.0 takes a while so don't give up too soon.If you already waited long enough, try a run without nLite.

By the way, are the same hotfixes for WXP Pro than for WXP Home?I will try HFSLIP test version too, to see if something is fixed.
XibaD
Ok I tried without nlite, with an answer file winnt.sif and with fresh source copied from an original CD. Tried in HFSLIP final and in the last test version. Now It completely hangs when it displays "saving configuration". Net frameworks installed (aparently), also java and my reg tweaks. The progress bar reaches the final but it doesn't restart nor finish the installation. If I reset, the installation begins again.Pic:I also tried a copy of Windows XP Professional SP2 Corporate, with IE7 and WMP11 slipstreamed at T-13, like the HFSLIP homepage instructions say to do it (Home config was IE6 & WMP10). No luck at all. Same results (that pic is from the WXP Pro)Thanks for the help EDITMy HFSLIP latest test version files for Windows XP Professional SP2. Maybe the problem is with UPHClean-Setup.msi?Files in your FIX folder:sfcfiles.dl_Files in your HF folder:IE7-WindowsXP-x86-esn.exemsxml2sp6-kb887606-x86-esn.exemsxml4-KB927978-esn.exemsxml6-KB927977-esn-x86.exeWindows-KB890830-V1.24.exeWindows-KB909520-v1.000-x86-ESN.exeWindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86.exeWindowsMedia-KB911564-x86-ESN.exeWindowsMedia6-KB925398-x86-ESN.exeWindowsRightsManagementServicesSP2-KB917275-Client-ESN-x86.exeWindowsUpdateAgent20-x86.exeWindowsXP-KB873339-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB885626-v2-x86-esn.exeWindowsXP-KB885836-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB886185-x86-esn.exeWindowsXP-KB887472-x86-esn.exeWindowsXP-KB888302-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB890859-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB891781-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB893756-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB896344-v2-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB896358-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB896423-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB896424-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB896428-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB898461-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB899587-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB899591-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB900485-v2-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB900725-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB901017-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB901190-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB901214-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB904706-v2-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB904942-v2-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB905414-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB905474-ENU-x86.exeWindowsXP-KB905749-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB908519-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB908531-v2-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB910437-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB911280-v2-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB911562-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB911927-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB912817-v2-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB912919-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB913580-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB914388-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB914389-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB914440-v12-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB916595-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB917422-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB917537-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB917953-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB918439-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB919007-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB920213-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB920342-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB920670-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB920683-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB920685-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB920872-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB921398-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB922582-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB922616-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB922819-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB923191-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB923414-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB923689-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB923694-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB923980-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB924191-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB924270-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB925876-x86-ENU.exeWindowsXP-KB926247-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB926255-x86-ESN.exeWindowsXP-KB928388-x86-ESN.exemsxml2.msiFiles in your HFCABS folder:Apr2005_d3dx9_25_x86.cabApr2006_d3dx9_30_x86.cabApr2006_XACT_x86.cabApr2006_xinput_x86.cabAug2005_d3dx9_27_x86.cabAUG2006_XACT_x86.cabAUG2006_xinput_x86.cabDec2005_d3dx9_28_x86.cabDEC2006_d3dx10_00_x86.cabDEC2006_d3dx9_32_x86.cabDEC2006_XACT_x86.cabFeb2005_d3dx9_24_x86.cabFeb2006_d3dx9_29_x86.cabFeb2006_XACT_x86.cabIUCTL.CABJun2005_d3dx9_26_x86.cabJUN2006_XACT_x86.cabLegitCheckControl.cabMUWEB_SITE.CABOct2005_xinput_x86.cabOCT2006_d3dx9_31_x86.cabOCT2006_XACT_x86.cabOCT2006_xinput_x86.cabOGAControl.cabOPUC4.CABswflash.cabFiles in your HFSVCPACK folder:cmdhrcp.regDNF11.exeDNF20.exejre6.exeFiles in your HFSVCPACK_SW folder:UPHClean-Setup.msiFiles in your HFTOOLS folder:7za.execmdow.exeEXTRACT.EXEHFANSWER.INImodifyPE.exeMSICabExtract.exereg.exe Edited January 30, 2007 by XibaD
Tomcat76
Can you try without winnt.sif and sfcfiles.dl_?Your log seems to be OK at first glance except I don't know if the .REG file is OK. Try also removing all files from HFSVCPACK and HFSVCPACK_SW.

Try also removing all files from HFSVCPACK and HFSVCPACK_SW.sfcfiles.dl_ is from VORCKs site and .reg file is a "open command window here" explorer shell, thats all. I've tried yesterday without the files in HFSVCPACK and HFSVCPACK_SW. Even with HF folder. Same results. But I will try again anyway.Testing with new test release. tommyp
I could be wrong, but if you are using the sfcfiles from his IE reducer, you're using the 2000 version (won't work with XP). I haven't seen it on his site, but if you somehow found a sfcfiles version for XP, then disregard this message.
XibaD
tommyp I've tried it before and it works. Its an empty file, HFSLIP detects it as empty sfcfiles.dll and asks you to delete catalog files.By the way, I'm testing from 0 all this stuff, I will report my findings.Tests in Windows XP Home Edition SP2:1) HF folder as I describe in my first post. The rest are empty (FIX, HFSVCPACK and CABS folders) and no winnt.sif nor nlite applied to SOURCESS.Result: it works!!! 2) In progress.... XibaD
Ok tommyp you were absolutely right. The sfcfiles.dll was the problem. Aparently other times it worked because I asked nlite to re-patch that file (was saved in my nlite profile) and I didn't notice it. But when I quit using nlite, then the file was not patched and all this hell begun. Now I have slipstreamed all updates, and I also tried to integrate IE7 and WMP11. WMP11 is successfully integrated BUT IE7 it is not, nor at T-13 (because of the activation as you say. I will try to do at first logon). By the way, how can I include slipstream IE7 updates if its installed at first logon? Thanks for the help to everybody...
Tomcat76
If you use the latest test release, you just need to dump the IE7 hotfixes in the HF folder. If your version of Windows requires activation, you need to have it installed at first logon (don't specify IE7SVCPACK in HFANSWER.INI) and you must activate before IE7 is installed. Tomcat76
The binaries from the hotfixes are slipstreamed into the IE7 installer. That's why the changelog says that only hotfixes that replace IE7 binaries are supported, by the way.
