New WideSceen TFT Problem

Hi, I just upgrade my ancient 17" crt to a TFT today, Everything looks great at 1440x900 however

I play a 2d game called maplestory that only displays in 800x600 and has option to change this. It looks grainy and low quality is there an application out there that will let me force this game to be run at a higher resolution
