The plugin might not work with firefox for some reason?

it works fine on xp systems with wmp 11 installed. i could never get wmp 11 on vista to work through firefox. it should work if we could re-install wmp 11.

in the Firefox address bar type

about:plugins

do you see wmv listed?

if not copy the necessary files to the plugins folder.

can someone send me the plugin?

Don't get the zip file, use the installer instead otherwise you'll have some annoying configuration to do.

PS: I was far from being a fan of VLC but I feel like it got much better (interface used to be sluggish, format support was not top...) but now I think I'm gonna add it to my software list.

(and it has an plugins to get streaming inside your browsers, including IE )
