Tanthalas Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 I always play the Provost and get into a war with the planet. I tend to out-science everyone, hold my own until I get shuttles and orbital weapons, and THEN start a war with the planet.

tain Posted May 8, 2007 Author Posted May 8, 2007 How does Civ3/4 stack up against the criteria in my first post?Anyone? This is just the game to fit the bill.http://www.real-war.com/Been trying that URL for weeks now with no luck. glocK_94 Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 How does Civ3/4 stack up against the criteria in my first post? You'd have today's military equipement but for the rest...it clearly doesn't match what you want. It's a really good solo game but barely distracting in multi.Maybe someone will make a "modern weapons" mod for C&C3... Also, COD4 sounds very interesting.Yeh but...not really soon. You didn't answer me, what about ARMA ?Ok, I'm getting back to JA2...
mau-yong Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 How does Civ3/4 stack up against the criteria in my first post? You'd have today's military equipement but for the rest...it clearly doesn't match what you want. It's a really good solo game but barely distracting in multi. When I "cheat" in Civ3/4, I advance in technology more rapidly than other civilizations so much more that they're still stuck in middle ages and I am already using modern armors and jet fighters (especially in Civ3).What is one man's good game might be another man's worst game. Civ is the sole reason I am constanly upgrading my hardware and sometimes, I prefer playing Civ rather than eating or sleeping...
tain Posted July 18, 2007 Author Posted July 18, 2007 You didn't answer me, what about ARMA ?Sorry 'bout that! http://www.armedassault.com/ does look very cool. But it also looks quite similar to BF2, which I already have and enjoy. Do you know how they compare to each other? As soon as I get tired of BF2 I'll be trying out Civ 3 or 4
