This VB script code will do it for you.

Set objShell = CreateObject("Shell.Application")
Set objFolder = objShell.Namespace("C:\Windows\System32")
Set objFolderItem = objFolder.ParseName("calc.exe")

objFolderItem.InvokeVerb("P&in to Start Menu")

Nice, thanks, any ideas on how to rename them using vbs?

Unfortunately, the VB won't work for me as I've disabled VB support in XP.

That registry method worked great though. Thanks for the help guys!
