HyperHacker Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 I regularly browse the Windows XP forum, and it's gotten very popular to the point where threads at the end of the list are only a day old. I have the number of topics per page set to Forum Default and though I haven't counted it looks like only about 30 are shown. For some reason instead of a text input there's only a dropdown box in which I can't select more than 30. I fear peoples' threads might be getting pushed off the first page too fast before anyone has a chance to help them, because let's face it, who actually reads the second page? Setting the forum default higher and allowing more than 30 in the user settings would solve this.
jcarle Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 I too wish there was a way to see more thread per page. And honestly, it would help reduce the load on the server. I often do a "View New Posts" and right-click open each thread in a new page/tab. If I could view, say, 100 threads per page, I wouldn't even have to change pages most often.
Slimy Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 I don't know if this will put a strain on the server or not, but more than 30 would be nice
Kiki Burgh Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 that's lots of windows there for you ... lots of alt+tabs too ... but that's what i do too if i need to look at many posts ... he! he!
Camarade_Tux Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 CTRL+TAB ?Right-click, left, right; right-click left; right-click right. And about the topic, same opinion here.
