the program's homepage still claims there's no such thing as a v0.9.3 for Windows but Raoul90 linked me to a download source that I have used as the basis for the v0.9.3 addon while still retaining the 0.9.2 addon just in case

This is a bugfix release. VLC media player 0.9.5 and earlier versions suffer from a security vulnerability in CUE and Realtext subtitle demuxer. Further technical details are available in our advisory.
